    This letter is to confirm that I have received your letter, via email, datedOctober 15, 2015, requesting a reasonable accommodation to use theemergency gate when entering and exiting Metrorail

    Metro appreciates you bringing this potential safety matter to our attention.As a result of your request, the informative conversations you shared withme, and Metros follow-up investigation into the matter, I am pleased toinform you that Metro has established a safety accommodation standardoperating procedure (SOP) to allow customers traveling with serviceanimals to use the equipment gates to enter or exit the system uponrequest. Such customers shall not be required to use a faregate to enter orexit the system. This SOP is effective immediately.
