Barge “Guantanamo Bay Express”

This is to certify that the undersigned, attending marine surveyor did on February 14, 2018, at the requestof Ocean Marine Brokerage Services, and for the account of the whom it may concern, survey the barge“Guantanamo Bay Express”; official number 661704; 2529 gross and net tons; on consignment for OceanMarine Brokerage Services; while subject vessel lay afloat and moored at the facilities of Reynolds ParkYacht Center, Pier One, Green Cove Springs Florida in order to ascertain the general condition andparticulars of the barge “Guantanamo Bay Express” for appraisal purposes only as of February 19, 2018

Note: All sizes, measurements, capacities, distances, et cetera, mentioned herein areapproximate, unless otherwise specified.

Portions of the information contained herein were derived from in-house literaturewhich is believed to be accurate but not guaranteed.

General Particulars:

The barge “Guantanamo Bay Express” was built of all welded steel construction by Misener IndustriesInc, in Tampa Florida, during 1983

Subject barge “Guantanamo Bay Express” is an ocean going deck barge configured for shippingcontainers. Basic arrangement is a double raked deck barge with a bow rake compartment, stern rakecompartment, and twelve (12) main hull mid-body compartments. Lower hull contains two longitudinaland five (5) transverse bulkheads dividing the barge into eighteen total watertight compartments.

The barge is outfitted with a forward ten foot (10') high transverse bulkhead running across the forwardrake affording protection to the cargo from wind and seas. Subject bulkhead contains a six-dog steelwatertight door located on centerline.

The aft deck area is apportioned for crane mats and crane.

General Particulars:(continued)

The deck contains statically located “D” rings and raised socket foundations welded to the deck atopdoublers.

Registered dimensions:

Length - 250' Breadth - 72.0' Depth - 15.5'

Barge has a flush deck and parallel sides.

Rub rail fender system consists of three (3) longitudinal half round 12" pipe affixed to the hull side plate.Additionally, there is a series 12" vertical rub rails affixed to the vessels hull ranging down the port andstarboard sides.

The barge “Guantanamo Bay Express” is transversely framed and longitudinally supported.

Deck longitudinal frames are comprised of 6" x 4" x ½" steel angles.Side longitudinal frames are comprised of 3" x 3" x 3/8" steel angles. Side longitudinal truss are comprised of 20' x 4" x ½" steel flanged anglesBottom longitudinal frames are comprised of 4" x 3 “ x 3/8" steel. Bottom and deck transverse truss 20' x 4" flanged steel channel. Vertical stiffeners 12" x 8" steel I-beams.Diagonals 6" x 4" x ½” steel angles.

Lower hull compartments are accessible through 30" bolted, flush manhole covers with fitted rubbergaskets.

The basic deck fittings are comprised of approximately two (2) 14" steel double bitts set atop doublerplates located near the aft corners. Additionally, there are twelve (12) 48" steel single kevels welded tothe deck on doublers, various steel pad eyes and chocks at random locations

The parameter of the deck contains a thee (3) tier cable handrail system. Additionally there is boardingrails port and starboard forward of the aft kevels.

Crane:

Located on deck, abaft of amidships on centerline is wood timber mats supporting the vessels crane. The crane is a Manitowoc Vicon 4000W, crawler crane, ser# 40695, powered by a a Cummins 3606 BC1,engine serial# 6050337. Crane boom is 75" with six part sheave. Additionally there is a Crosby hookblock located on deck. Note* Crane is not operational.

Containers:

Located on deck is a 45' collapsible flat container and a 20' cargo container. Each contain various lashinghardware, paint, mooring ropes, and other support materials.

Safety:

There was no safety equipment on board at time of survey.

Condition:

Hull plate contained minor indentations at random locations mostly in way of the rub rails. Hull exteriorcoating above the waterline was adequate but did contain rust bleeding through at random locations. Deck contained minor indentations at random locations throughout. Deck coating was adequate but willbe in need of re-coating in the near future. Manhole covers were on good condition with rubber gasketsin working condition. We entered a number of lower hull compartments and did not encounter standingwater in any entered. Lower hull was in average condition with some new steel in various compartments.(See attached pictures) Lower hull did not contain coating except in way of new steel.

Crane was missing various components and value set forth is based on existing components.

We surveyed the vessel afloat. Average housekeeping prevailed. Barge has been stationary for some timeand marine growth was observed on the vessels bottom plate

The barge has been an inspected vessel and contains current certificates of loadline, ABS, COI, IAPP ingood standing through July if 2018.
