The Religious Education program is in need of volunteer children's Religious Education teachers and substitutes to help spread the Good News and share the Catholic faith with our parish children. Please contact Monica Lisburg or Kirsten Fuglseth if you are willing to help out. Safe Environment training: Just a reminder that before anyone can work with the youth in our parish as a teacher, in Youth Ministry, as a chaperone, or any other capacity, you are required to have completed the Safe Environment Certification. If you have not already done so, please go to www.crookston.org and follow the link to the Safe Environment tab and take the training. Thank you. Rockin’ 50’s Hoedown and Car Show: September 7th is just around the corner – just 3 weeks away. Now is the time to start planning and putting together your silent auction baskets/items, My Favorite Things (3 identical items that are your ‘favorite things’) and Little Rascals Kids Auction items. Tables will be set up in the social hall for items to be dropped off. We encourage you to not wait until the last minute as it is very beneficial knowing what we have a few weeks in advance. Hoedown Sign-up: Please sign up to help with this year’s Hoedown! Sign-up sheets are in the gathering area. Thank you! Five and Dime General Store It is time to putting together items for the 5 & 10 General store for our 10th annual Hoedown. Please mark your items for whatever you feel is a good price. If you don’t have tags, I will have a bin of price tags for you to use. We are asking you to price your items 50 cents and up in 50 increments. Like .50-1.00-1.50-2.00 2.50 etc. makes it so much easier on the cashiers and for change. Canned food, craft items etc. can be brought in to the fairgrounds earlier as they will not spoil. You can bring in your other baked items Friday or Saturday morning before noon. People start coming at noon or before. Let’s fill those shelves and table with lots of variety of goods. Thank you in advance for your donation to the General store. Any questions please call Roberta at 218-945-3272 Adult Bible Study coming this Fall!! We will be having a bible study from Ascension Press on Romans “The Gospel of Salvation”. We will meet after Mass on Sundays 10am-11:15am beginning Sept. 15th. The study is 8 sessions so this should take us up thru mid-November. If Sunday mornings does not work, we encourage you to consider using the materials and start another group at a time that works for you. Either way, this is a great opportunity for fellowship and to grow closer in our walk with the Lord. Please contact Aaron& Liz Rongen with any questions. Save the date!
