My dear family at Anita Methodist,

It is a joy indeed to greet you this jubilee year in the name of Jesus Christ. I am thankful to God for having grown this institution to this stature through the tireless labour of His many servants over the past 50 years. As the Psalmist says, "The Lord has done great things for us, and we are lled with joy."

The year of jubilee has deep spiritual signicance in the Scriptures. It is a time of returning to base, reconrming our foundations in God. People are to forgive each other's debts and make fresh starts. Isn't that a beautiful thought for all of us to begin a new year with?

As we look ahead to the next fty, may the grace of our Everlasting Father rest with you all - the board members, the sta, the students, the parents and everyone else associated with Anita Methodist. Let us together attempt great things in and through the lives of the children committed to our care.

Have a blessed year ahead.

In His Service,

Dear ones,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As we are all aware this academic year is very special and important to all of us because of the Golden Jubilee of our School. By God's grace our school is progressing towards academic excellence and spectacular development in curricular and extra-curricular fields under the efficient leadership of the Principal Mrs. Joan Elango and the team of committed teachers. I am sure the school is on the right track, developing day by day.

Children are a gift from the Lord. He has entrusted them as gifts in our hands. Our student community must grow in the love of God and must exhibit the true love of God. They should grow to be more responsible citizens of India. School does not exist just to impart education but to also build a healthy nation by teaching our children true living standards and honesty. Though our life is very short, God has given us numerous opportunities to grow, share and enjoy life. Each teacher is responsible for moulding the pupil with good character and qualities. Their future deeds, their status in the society are a reflection of the school. What we sow in them we will reap one day in the form of good citizens serving the country at various capacities. Let us serve them faithfully and truthfully with Christ's love.

God bless all.

Principal's Message

The very name Hopscotch brings to mind images of happy children skipping around, laughing away in joyous disdain, egging on friends. This pretty much captures the spirit of Anita Methodist. We want to be a place where children happily run in to school.

As we celebrate 50 years of the school, we have depicted a similar scene on our Jubilee Arch - children running into the outstretched arms of Jesus. We don't know if Jesus actually played hopscotch with them those days, with the love He had for children I wouldn't rule it out. He might have even used that to teach the disciples a few more truths. Well, enough is it to say that He loved children and so we love our children as well.

I'm proud of the effort the children have taken to put together such a compilation of expressions. Poems, essays, stories, sketches, puzzles... they are all a child's mind at play. As you skip through these pages I hope you'll find the same joy of watching children engrossed in games - word play, stroke play and more.

I wish the Hopscotch team more such releases and you the reader a happy time of Hopscotching!

In Christ's love,Joan ElangoPrincipal

Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. What a joy it is to meet you all through the hopscotch magazine! In commemoration of the 50th year HOPSCOTCH brings to you a special edition of our campus. It was indeed an awesome experience working with the campus magazine club. We are gifted with children who are power packed with talent and enthusiasm and they were absolutely co-operative at every step in the making of the magazine. The hopscotch magazine is now available to you in a special edition loaded with knowledge, trivia, short stories and more. Hopscotch aims at bringing to you firsthand information about everything that takes place within the campus throughout the year. The campus magazine club has worked really hard to bring this special edition to you. Every page is a new experience. It reveals the zeal our children have towards expressing their talents. That is what the mission of the school is meant to be. Again we are proud to be a part of this wonderful institution which is filled with opportunities for growth. We hope you have a wonderful journey through our HOPSCOTCH magazine.

Happy Reading.

A Message from Former Principals

4

I congratulate Anita Methodist Matriculation Higher Secondary School on its 50th anniversary! As we celebrate the glorious legacy that is ours, we share an unbounded optimism about the institution's constant impact and relevance in shaping and enriching the lives of countless people both young and old.

At this time I remember all those pioneers who were instrumental in establishing this institution. Their tireless efforts and sacrifice have inspired us and encouraged us to follow their footsteps. As we look forward, I extend my warm and heartiest wishes to the present

leaders, staffs and students who will lead the institution to a vibrant future.

In a world filled with strife and turmoil, Anita Methodist has been a beacon of light leading all those who have entered her portals to true knowledge and learning. It is my prayer that the Joy and Peace of the Christ Child will continue to be present as Anita Methodist moves into the next era of its existence.

As the apostle Paul reminds us, let us think of those things which are true, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy which will inspire us to be a shining witness.

Though miles away, my heart longs to be with you all during these celebrations. My love and thoughts will be with you. God Bless You.

Dr. Sujatha RossFormer Principal

I am glad to be a part of the golden jubilee celebrations of Anita Methodist. I have had the joy of seeing the school grow from a primary to a higher secondary school. Though much has changed on the campus, the emphasis on Christian nurture for the children has not. It has been our tradition to instil in our students Christian values through activities in and outside the classroom. I am happy to see that the present team of teaching and non- teaching staff continue to see this culture alive.

I pray that the school will continue to send out loud and clear messages of God's love and care for generations to come.

With God's blessings,

Mrs. R MichaelFormer Principal

History of Anita Methodist

The birth of Anita Methodist dates back to 1964. It was Balar Kalvi Nilayam that was first started. Anita Methodist was started in remembrance of a little girl named Anita who was one and a half year old and spent her short life in the campus of this school and soon entered the courts of heaven. Miss Rose Viswasam, one of the strongest pillars behind the making of Anita Methodist School carefully nurtured the school in its early years. Anita Methodist emerged as a play school under a thatched shed with 18 students.

Anita Methodist began its journey with Mrs. Light Ebenezer as the first teacher. She was followed by Mrs.Victoria Ravi, who taught the Junior K.G. Mrs. Dora Chelladurai handled Senior K.G. Mrs.Kanambal, Mrs. Daniel, Mrs.Pushpamani, M r s . P u s h p a R a t h n a m , M r s . P r e m a Mrs. Padmini Thomas formed the team who laid strong foundations for child friendly teaching.

Mrs. Jesudian was the first Correspondent and Supervisor of Anita Methodist School. She was succeeded by Mrs. Johnson who framed the Play School curriculum. Miss. Baldwin took over as the next Principal and left in the year 1987. In the year 1988, Mrs. Michael take over as Principal, followed by Mrs. Sujatha Ross in the year 2001. Mrs. Joan Elango is the current Principal of Anita Methodist School.

Greeting from First Teacher

We walk by faith and not by sight. 2Corinthians 5:7

Three visionaries Miss.Rose Visuvasam, Miss.Louis Jesudian and Miss.Johnson desired to start an English medium school in Balar Kalvi Nilayam. I had done my teacher's training in B.K.N. and went to SriLanka where my parents lived. After my marriage my husband and I came to India. Our first child, Angie was born. After a few months of her birth, one day Miss.Visuvasam and Miss.Jesudian came home and requested that I come and teach in the English medium section. They said that they would make arrangements in the school to take care of my daughter while I teach. So I carried Angie, my daughter as a 9 month-old baby and went to teach at Anita Methodist School. We started the first nursery class in a thatched shed with 18 children.

Miss Visuvasam and Miss.Jesudian were supportive. They asked Vanapu akka to take care of my daughter. I started teaching and thoroughly enjoyed teaching my little students. One of my first student was Christopher Roy who is now a leading Cardiac surgeon in the city of Chennai. The other students have also done well in life.

I still remember the first parent-teacher meeting. All the parents gave their feedback to build the school. They encouraged us so much. I also remember our first Annual day where the nursery children sang 'Where are you going to my pretty maid?' We did a play named 'A naughty boy becomes a good boy'. Pradeep Jesudian, who is now settled in Canada(nephew of Miss.Louis Jesudian), acted as the 'good boy' in the play and Christopher Roy was the 'naughty boy'. I have memories of every child in my class.

The teacher training in B.K.N had taught me so many teaching methods that I used every day when I was a teacher. Indoor and outdoor activities helped children enjoy school life. Miss.Johnson, an American Missionary who was the Principal of Anita Methodist guided me very well, so did Miss.Jesudian and Miss.Visuvasam. I cannot express how much their lives impacted mine. Who I became as a teacher was because of their input, encouragement, discipline and love.

Mrs.Victoria Ravi was the second teacher at Anita Methodist, then came Mrs.Dora Chelladurai, Mrs.Kanama, Mrs.Daniel and Mrs.Pushparatnam Simon. In 1969, Miss.Visuvasam shifted me back to Vepery Children's school so that I could further my education but I always had a soft corner for Anita Methodist School. The teachers at Vepery Children School always said, Light akka, you always have a soft corner for Anita.

Today, I'm so happy and proud to see how Anita Methodist has grown. The vision of the founders and the Principals, with the faithful co-operation of all the teachers who have taught these 50 years has built Anita Methodist to what it is today. I bless the school and I believe this school will move from strength to strength and be a witness for Jesus for generations to come.

Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Psalm 90:1

Reminiscence - First Batch Students

School A place for childhood memories!

It is a matter of great joy for me to write about my experiences in Anita Methodist School. I was just a few months old when my mother, Mrs. Light Ebenezer was invited to come and teach and thus became the School's first teacher. My mother was apprehensive about if she could manage taking up the responsibility with a small infant at home. The solution came through three wonderful people who were in leadership at that time, namely Rose Visuvasam aunty, Louis Jesudian aunty and Miss Johnson. They suggested that my mom bring me along with her to the school. They made provisions for me to be taken care of while my mother taught in the Nursery Class. Balar Kalvi Nilayam thus became my home and a family too, we stayed in B.K.N for many days. With my mother having to handle many added responsibilities, I got a lot of attention, love and care from so many people in the School during that time. Looking back, I am so thankful to God for those people, especially Kasthuri Deveraj aunty, who taught me Bible stories and gospel songs and Bible verses during those days. I remember them even now.

School A place for academic pursuits!

I fondly remember my first teacher in Anita Methodist School, Mrs. Victoria Ravi, an excellent teacher who used creative teaching methods. I also remember Mrs. Pushpa Ratnam, who by her skills taught me the basic concepts of Science and Mathematics and created an interest to pursue these subjects later on in life. Today as a Physics Professor teaching at the Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, I am grateful to her for the strong foundations she had laid in my student life.

School A place for character building!

Since my childhood, I have learnt so much through the inspiration that I received while I watched the exemplary lives of Rose aunty, Kasthuri aunty, Victoria aunty, Louis Jesudian aunty and my mother as well. They were a generation of people who personified values like selflessness, sacrifice, dedicated service and genuine love. Now looking back, I am greatly indebted to each of them. I am reminded of the verse from the Bible as found in Hebrews 13:7 that says, Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

My sincere prayer is that Anita Methodist will have teachers who are godly leaders, who possess great character and who live exemplary lives that will inspire many and turn them into excellent students. I wish Anita Methodist School the very best and may she grow from strength to strength and make massive contributions in individual lives and also to the cause of our nation.

68

It feels strange to be writing this piece because I never thought I would reach the age of reminiscing about the good old days so soon in my life. But then at 52, with a head full of grey hair and a whole host of life's experiences behind me, I guess I have earned that status!

I was probably 2 and a ½ years old when I hesitantly entered the Balar Kalvi Nilayam campus which housed the newly opened Anita Methodist Matriculation School. It was the age of wonder when everything around you fascinated and filled you with curiosity. The main attraction was the big, tree filled campus with so many opportunities to play. We did not have a uniform back then, so it never felt like we were in a school. This was a big

fun place where you also learnt some reading, riting and rithmetic as it was called! The teachers were not frightening people, out to punish the students. They were most helpful and kind to the students. I remember Light teacher very well (Mrs. Light Ebenezer). She was always beaming and her laughing face reflected her cheerful name.

It is rather interesting when I piece together wisps of memories. We had a music class and I used to be fascinated by a beautiful set of chimes which we used to strike again and again just to hear the wonderful notes they created. There was no stern faced teacher forbidding us, instead we were encouraged to play with the musical instruments and am sure some of the students grew up to become great musicians. Even now, I cannot pass a shop with chimes or hear some music with chimes in it without remembering those days at Anita Matriculation.

Lunch time had all the kids sitting in rows on mats and we would have piping hot food served to us. Strangely, all I remember is stuffing myself with beetroot possibly because of its bright color. After lunch was a mandatory siesta and soon it would be time to go home. We were keen to be back at school next day and the next, because school was never a burden those days!

I remember acting in the school play as Tom the naughty boy(a prophetic role, I must add). Though the exact details evade my memory, I recollect being dressed in pajamas, wearing gum boots and refusing to go to school. Snips and snails and puppy dog tails epitomized little boys on stage and in real life. There were several interesting creatures on campus; birds, rabbits, dogs and cats. This exposure ignited a passion for animal's right through my life.

Much water has flown under the bridge since those days- boyhood, other schools, and medical college, becoming a doctor, a husband, father, cardiac surgeon, responsibilities, and travel to wonderful parts of the world and yet it all comes back to mein a rush. So here I am, as in the words of the poet for oft when on my couch I lie.they flash upon the inward eye trying to glean memories from the kaleidoscope of life. And if life is to be judged by our memories then I can proudly say that some of the best moments began in Anita Matriculation School a long, long time ago forme!

Messages from Retired Teachers

Praise the Lord! It was by God's grace that I was fortunate to be appointed as a teacher for the U.K.G of Anita Methodist School by the then Principal Mrs. Michael, an ever smiling and loving person. I had no experience in the playway method but managed to successfully complete the year with God's blessings and the co-operation of my colleagues. During that period, I had the opportunity to learn many things like drawing, painting, making models, preparing charts and developing stories with pictures under the guidance of Mrs. Kamini who is very helpful. I was then sent to teach at the primary level and was moved by the affection shown by students and the co-operation and encouragement of the management and my fellow teachers. I have always thanked God for placing me among a group of skilled teachers. As years passed I managed to enhance my spiritual and mental qualities. Everyday I felt God's presence in the campus and cherished the devotions that took place every Friday at school. The memories of those enjoyable days of my tenure with the Anita Methodist family will stay with me forever.

-Mrs. Kamala

Teaching is its own reward. A good teacher is always remembered by the students wherever he/she is. I started my teaching career in Anita Methodist School in the year 1992. As a class teacher of Standard 5A, I played a very important role in the entire set up. The satisfaction it gave me was incomparable. I enjoyed teaching and the science of modification of behavior. My school was my second home. Mrs. Michael used to encourage us with the Word of God and prayer. A good teacher is like a candle- it consumes itself to light the way for others. I loved my school, my students and my subjects. Children study in schools and read a large number of books for mental and intellectual development, but the knowledge of God must not be ignored. Our Anita Methodist school gives importance to value based education and moral conduct.

Praise our God Almighty for placing me in a wonderful Christian institution from which I retired after serving for 16 years. I would like to express the sweet memories and unforgettable experiences of my work at Anita Methodist School. We were all united as a family sharing our joys and sorrows with each other. I taught the children with great enthusiasm and most importantly taught children how to walk in God's way. I also wish to thank the management and my colleagues for the time I spent in school. God Bless you all!

- Mrs. UshaRamalingam

After serving Anita Methodist School for 16 years, I retired from the service about a year ago. I thank God Almighty for granting me the privilege of working in this great Christian Institution for many years. During these years I had a family who was there to support and help by praying for each other. I had such wonderful colleagues. We shared our knowledge and experience not only in the field of teaching, but also in organizing cultural activities. We learnt a lot from each other and offered support to those who were undergoing difficulties. With all the stress and strain, we still had smiles on our face when we saw children. Todays challenge may tire you, but remember it will pass away when you receive support with prayers. Gods love will lift you up when you call on the name of Jesus. Today, as I look back, I cherish the memories of my tenure in the school. I pray for the progress of the school. May the Almighty God lead you all in the paths of righteousness for His names sake.

Greetings from Laos,

I had the privilege of being a student at Anita Methodist for six years, until I finished the tenth standard in 1997.

I congratulations on reaching your fiftieth year of service. I am aware that a lot has changed over the years, but I pray that the things that matter remain firm: a love for the Lord almighty, for each other, and for learning. I would like to bless each of you with these verses:

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;t he LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.(Numbers 6: 24-26 NIV)

The patterns and paths that one walks through shape his or her legacy for times to remember. I cannot thank the Lord enough for the legacy that Anita Methodist Matriculation School left in the persona of me. What I am today is because of Anita Methodist. Perhaps it surprises me more than my school herself. A school is a place where you spend an average of 8 hours a day. It makes you wonder which is your first home. Home has to be a place where you belong, where you are secure and where you are loved. Anita Methodist Matriculation wasn't a school, it was home for most of us, if not all. Proud would be an understatement for the opportunity and honour to make Anita Methodist my home. To write down a greeting for the school campus magazine is yet another honour that this institution has bestowed on me.

May the Lord keep His watchful eyes on this little kingdom that keeps nurturing every little feet that enters through the gates of this campus till it matures and ready to live in the world. God Bless and long live Anita Methodist.

My mind plays its share of 7 years in Anita Methodist's rich history. I walk in, a simple innocent child ready to take on any form Anita Methodist would give me. She did. Like a tree would never stop growing toward the light, Anita Methodist taught me to fill out my best. Like a lamp that always keeps glowing, she taught me to show the Light. I may never work out how the tiniest of her contributions gave way to my biggest victories, but I know Anita Methodist stands behind much of what I am today. Fifty upon fifty, may you shine endlessly Anita!

It gives me immense pleasure to know that my alma mater is bringing forth a campus magazine in the Golden Jubilee year.

The aim of education is to help the child to develop his intellectual, aesthetic, emotional and spiritual being. The purpose of education is to train the mind to think creatively. The campus magazine serves as a mirror reflecting the latent talents of the students, expressing their thoughts and concerns as the future citizens of a developing country and gives ample scope for creative writers as pen is mightier than sword.

I wish that the entire student community will make the best use of the magazine as writers and readers.

Happy to see Anita Methodist Matriculation Hr. Sec school making great strides in the sphere of education and wish further success to reach the pinnacle.

I bring greetings with great pleasure on the release of our 50th anniversary school magazine. Being an alumnus of this prestigious institution, I am extremely proud and honoured to be a part of the celebration. Had it not been for the school, the hard work of the staff and teachers and the grace of the Lord Jesus I would not be where I am now.

I congratulate the Principal, the teachers and the staff for their commitment and able leadership in making this institution one of the best. I wish the very best for the school in all its future endeavors.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, and always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

All of the above defines Anita Methodist. Just replace the word 'Love' with 'Anita Methodist' in the above context and one will perfectly understand what I am trying to convey. Anita Methodist does not just focus on educating an individual but also on transforming an individual into a better human being. Having studied in Anita Methodist, I have truly grown to be a person I am proud to say I am. I went to school every day because the teachers in Anita showed me that they cared about me as a person, had confidence that I would succeed in solving my problems, and provided me with opportunities to participate meaningfully in my school community. With absolute confidence I can say that for fifty years, Anita Methodist has been providing students with great mothers. At this juncture I congratulate Anita Methodist for creating great human beings for this society and I pray that they will continue to do so.

Exchange Programmes

We are grateful to our Lord for all the marvelous things He has done for us. This year Anita Methodist was visited by the second group of students from Greijdanus, Netherlands on 13th of October 2014. The names of this year's exchange students are Christane Hoeve, Otto Fennema, Anneley Pruim and Sheriah Neirk. They were hosted by our students Jonathan Ben, Joshua R S, Ruth Getshie and Abisha Graceline, who had earlier visited Netherlands in March 2014.

The exchange students followed a meticulously planned schedule to give them a glimpse of the culture of India. They followed a time table that included classes like Tamil, Hindi, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy, English, Singing, Dancing and Indian Cooking. They had special sessions on mehendi art, rangoli, silambam and a lecture on Indian History. They volunteered at the Opportunity School. They participated in Words Worth - English Fest. A road trip to Southern India, Diwali celebrations, hospitality by the host families, Indian movies and Chennai in monsoon floods made their trip memorable.

We also have Sam Sunil in Italy and Akshara Sharon in the USA for a year's exchange program. We give all the glory and honour to our Lord Jesus Christ for succeeding our plans.

My experiences in Netherlands were unforgettable. I learnt how to pronounce Dutch words. I came to know that they have immensely strict road rules. The studies are really applied and practical. Each and every day, I had something new to learn. The school was more like a country club. The nature and landscape, fields and windmills were awesome and breathtaking.

Abisha Gracelin Paul

I thank our Lord Jesus Christ for giving me this wonderful opportunity to visit a beautiful country like Netherlands. Netherlands is known for its windmills, tulips, wooden shoes and bikes. I lived in a town called Wezep 10 kms from school and so we had to bike 10kms everyday to school. We had classes on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Golden Age of Amsterdam, Dutch, Philosophy and History of world war.

Jonathan

My visit to the Netherlands has made me a stronger person. I met varied people there and they were very kind and humble. I learnt Physiology, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Dutch. I liked the educational system. It was interesting and the laboratories were fantastic. We also had a presentation day when we made a presentation about our country. I thank God for giving me this wonderful opportunity.

Ruth Gethsie

With a lot of fear, confusion, excitement and enthusiasm I began my journey to the Netherlands on 10th March 2014. There were fewer people there, clean roads, cool weather and green pastures. The Dutch community was very friendly, simple and humble. At Amsterdam, the capital city of Netherlands, water is the mistress and the land is the vassal. After this programme I have become more bold and confident. I am able to estimate my own abilities and my frailties. This has been an eye-opening experience.

WHY?

?Why do cut onions bring tears?

Tears produced by the tear glands keep the eyes moist and are normally drained o through the nose. Onions have a number of water soluble volatile substances containing sulphur. When onions are cut, these substances quickly spread into the air and cause irritation in the eyes. The tear glands start secreting more and more tears to wash out the irritants. The tears are produced so rapidly that they cannot be drained out through the nose and so run down the eyes.

Why don't we feel pain when we cut hair or nails?

Pain is felt only when a nerve end is stimulated by a cut or injury. Since hair and nail do not have nerve endings, cutting them does not produce pain. However cells at the base of the nail and hair are living cells and have nerve endings. So, if a nail is cut from the base or if a hair is plucked o, pain is felt.

KEY TO WIN MY LIFE

I thought, I thought

What could make me

Win my life?

As a child, thought myself

My mom and dad could make it for me

As the years passed thought I, deep inside

Education could make it for me

As I was blooming into the adolescent youth

Thought I, beauty could make it for me

Thought I next, money could make it for me

Had I all of these

But none could help me, win my life

Searched and searched I without peace

Until I received wisdom from above

I know, I know now

The key to win my life is wisdom.

· The Germans made the rst Christmas tree out of dyed goose feathers.

· The tallest Christmas tree was 221 feet tall.

· Santa claus is based on a real person, St. Nicholas of Myra, who lived during the fourth century. He is the world's most famous non- biblical saint.

· The song 'Jingle Bells' was written by James Pierpoint in 1857. It was originally called 'One horse open sleigh'.

· Santa's eight reindeers are called Comet, Cupid, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Donder and Blitzen.

It was a dusty summer day..and a school day for Alex Adrian. He hated school more than he hated onions. He got up from his bed and turned o the air conditioner and then his father, Mr. Adrian, came in and told his son to hurry up and get ready for school.

He pleaded to his father and told him he had a fever. His father gave him a thermometer and turned to look at the room while the cunning boy placed the thermometer against a bulb. The thermometer's mercury shot up and broke it. His father turned around, when he said, Dad look my temperature broke the thermometer. His dad he had seen him place the thermometer against the bulb. So he looked and said, Look son, your temperature is higher than others, your usual temperature is 72degree Celsius. The thermometer markings are till 108 degree Celsius. So your temperature has increased just about 0 degrees Celsius which is normal! Now get ready for school. Alex was disappointed that his trick didn't work. He got ready and went to school. He was sad all the day.

When he nally reached home, he thought of a plan for bunking school the next day. His plan was to tell lies about his legs. The next day dawned, the chirping songs of the sparrows was pierced by fake cry of pain and agony. Alex's father came running to

his room. He said he couldn't touch the ground with his leftleg. His father took him seriously and took him toa very expensive hospital. There the Dr. Felix, was busy, but he knew Mr. Adrian very well and let him in. The doctor examined and found nothing wrong with Alex's leg. The doctor suggested X-ray of the leg. In the x-ray room, the doctor told him to lift the paining leg. Alex put a lot of drama saying he couldn't lift his leg.

Well, in all that drama he must have forgotten which leg was supposed to pain. Instead of his left leg he lifted his right leg wincing. At once the doctor knew he was lying. The doctor quickly made a plan to turn the tables on Alex himself. He looked at the X-ray and told there was an emergency, He said Alex needed an immediate surgery. In the emergency room, the doctor took a large saw to cut his right leg.

Alex was about to say it was his left leg but he knew he was lying. What if the doctor really cut o his leg if he told it was his left. Alex was frightened by the saw, so there was only one thing he could do- RUN. He took to top speed and burst out the emergency room. He just kept running. His father saw him and thanked the doctor saying, He couldn't even touch the ground, thank you so much Dr. Felix. The doctor said, Well, they are touching the ground now?!
