Fall Rally

Sunday, September 16th a meeting was held to discuss the upcoming fall rally on November 3rd. Together they decided that this Fall Rally will include two speakers, several workshops

featuring a variety of different subjects. One of those will include stress relief and the

importance of showing appreciation. It will also include a handful of different service projects

and team building exercises. This event will teach those who participate the values of leadership along with the importance of

service. So save the date -November 3rd Division 10's Fall Rally! The theme is the Olympics

and our motto for this event is, "Dare to Lead, Dare to Serve, Dare to Care, Dare to

DREAM."

Labor Day

Key Club starts the fall off with a bang. On August 3, 2018. The Key Club and Builders Club helped Kiwanis with putting flags up for Labor Day. The students all spared their chance in the morning for extra sleep for this

event. Breakfast started at 6:30 am (Blueberry Muffins, Casserole, and other nutritional items) provided

by the Kiwanis. Followed by the pick up at 5:00 pm. This was a great chance for Key Clubbers, Builders Club, and Kiwanis to intermingle and do service for those in their community. This event was a complete success thanks to the wonderful servant leaders of

Elkhart.

Hands for Hope

Seven Key Club members and four Builders Club members joined the Hands For Hope (HFH), along with board members, community volunteers, and the Elkhart Key Club adviser. Working together they help organize and sort through many, many boxes of donated clothes on Saturday, September 15th for about three hours. The staff moved out the summer clothes to make room for the fall and winter apparel. Thanks to the

generosity of our community and the surrounding area, Hands For Hope has an abundance of clothing available

for distribution. Becky Richardson, HFH board member, was very excited about the fantastic turnout and the amount of work that was accomplished by the volunteers. This was an outstanding day full of service

and fun!

On September 16th the Builders Club, Key Club, and Kiwanis Club, along with family members, met together at the Morton County Museum. The museum provided punch, tea, cake and ice cream. Members were then given a scavenger hunt list. Guests were to compile answers, which were found around the museum, for each question. They were divided into seven groups,

each containing a member of the three various clubs and other family members. This was a fun family

oriented activity. As a result, people were put into groups that encouraged them to work together. At the

end of the social event the Kiwanis president, Jim Cunningham, announced the answers for the scavenger hunt. Together each group graded themselves on how well they found the answers. It was a great way for

multiple community groups to spend some fun time together.
