Maths Fun Activities

Boys and girls, this week you have been learning about 3D Shapes.

Below are some fun practice exercises for you about 3D Shapes. You could do number (i) on Thursday and number (ii) on Friday if you like. Have fun!

(i) Go into the following website: https://ie.ixl.com/math/class-2 (you will be in the 2nd class section).

Go to Three Dimensional Shapes. There are 8 short activities (S1-S8) there and you click into each one and then do it.

And

(ii) Watch the following you tube video on how to draw some 3D shapes and use a piece of paper/copy book to practice drawing them. Make sure to label each shape.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucAUQsOWQY0

Please note: The teacher in this video refers to a ‘rectangular prism’ – we call this a cuboid. The children will be familiar with the term cuboid so they can change the label to this when they draw this shape.

Graduation Art

Theme: The slogan for our graduation art is ‘Oh the places you’ll go’
