IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES
DECEMBER, 31, 2012
Mr. GENT (for himself, Mr. HARRISON, Mr. S. JAMERSON, and
Ms. H. JAMERSON) introduced the following bill; which was
referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and
Pensions for a period to be subsequently determined by the
Speaker, for consideration of such provisions as fall within thejurisdiction of th e committee concerned.

A BILLTo require that Intelligent Design be taught in every public
educational institution in the US.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of1
Representatives of the United States of America in2
Congress assembled,3
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.4
This Act may be cited as the "Teaching of5
Intelligent Design and Evolution Act".6
SEC. 2.7
Whereas the children and young adults of this country are not8
being adequately exposed to different scientific theories.9
Whereas because the children and young adults of this country10
have not been exposes to both both the major scientific11
theories and are not fully educated in the matters of science.12

Therefore by requiring that all public schools and universities13
throughout the country to teach both Evolution and Intelligent14
Design further the knowledge and education of the future15
generations.16
Definitions- Evolution- A gradual process in which something17
changes into a different and usually more complex/better form.18
Intelligent Design- the concept that the order and complexity19
seen in nature must be in result of a rational design, as by God,20
and that natural processes such as Evolution are insufficient to21
account for them entirely.22
Guidelines- That any science teacher with a public school or23
university in the United States of America would be required to24
present both the theory of Evolution and the theory of25
Intelligent Design in the classroom.26
Appropriations- New textbooks will be printed for all applicable27
courses at the next purchasing cycle (which for science28
textbooks tends to be every two years given new data being29
presented and proven.)30
If a teacher is reported by multiple persons as skipping over31
the Intelligent Design theory the school will be fined 2,00032
dollars as a first offense. If a second offense occurs the school33
will be given the choice to either be fined 6,000 dollars or34
terminate the teachers employment.35
Nullification Clause= All laws and any portion in conflict with36
these provisions herby are null and void.37
Effective Date- This Law will take effect in January of 2014.38
