It’s the harvest season… What fruits of the Spirit have come to fullness among us?
God is always at work bringing creation, hearts, and community to fullness of life. What can we nameand celebrate as we gather the harvest of God’s gifts? Have you seen kindness? …faithfulness? …patience? …generosity and love? With these fruits we are blessed! With these fruits we share with the world.
Much is often wasted as fruit ripens on the tree. Much falls on the ground and is forgotten. Some gets tossed aside, even after purchase. The same is true of the fruits of the Spirit. Do we miserly delight in what is given without sharing? Do we fail to see the fruit? Do we waste …misuse …mis-spend the gifts God gives?- Let the Spirit who gives life guide us in the use of the harvest. Let the Spirit of God’s love continually plant new seeds of love. Let the Spirit guide you in sharing the harvest God provides.
Your generosity and support of our work as the body of Christ in this place blesses those we reach with the Gospel of Christ’s gracious Love. Let God’s Grace abound! Pastor Sue Lidums

Sunday Class:
We began the new
program seasons with a few Sundays of reflection and conversation about where we see God in our daily lives. We used the Living Lutheran article and study guide-- “God is present every day” by Rev. Robert C. Blezard. Sharing our concerns, gratitude and prayer support was part of those lessons. In Oct we begin Rev. Max Lucado’s new book and DVD “How Happiness Happens”. I purchased the video and study guide for ORL. A quote from the book cover—“Finding LASTING JOY in a world of comparison, disappointment, and unmet expectations” Lucado will reveal in the series—“ how the happiest people on earth aren’t those who have the most but those who are willing to give the most away.” We added to the prayer flags out front and we encourage others to do the same. We gather each Sunday at 9:00
am in the ORL conference room.

gatherings resume. The Gathering and Growing Disciples Team, along with the LEAD team, continues to seek ways to reach out to the community with invitation and greeting. We invite members to engage in opportunities for fellowship and growth and to invite neighbors into God’s welcoming grace. This is an active team, planning and supporting education events, fellowship activities and ways we work together to do God’s Work with Our Hands.
