Progression Routes
National 5/Int2 in S4 - H in S5 - AH in S6.
National 4/Int1 in S4 - N5 in S5 - H in S6.
National 3 in S4 - N4 in S5 - N5 in S6. However there will be subjects you
can start in S5 and S6 at N5 or Higher with no previous study.
![Page 6: S4/5 Parents CfE Presentation Thursday 13 th March 2014](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022032701/56649c755503460f9492916c/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
How to Choose!
What am I good at?
What do I enjoy?
What do I plan to do in S6 if I stay on?
What career might I follow after school?
What do I need for my next steps?
![Page 7: S4/5 Parents CfE Presentation Thursday 13 th March 2014](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022032701/56649c755503460f9492916c/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
How Not to Choose!
I like/dislike that teacher!
My pal is doing that so I will as well so I am in their class!
My brother/sister/parent liked that!
![Page 8: S4/5 Parents CfE Presentation Thursday 13 th March 2014](https://reader030.vdocument.in/reader030/viewer/2022032701/56649c755503460f9492916c/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
Advanced Higher or more Highers?
We would advise pupils going into S6 to: Consider additional Higher courses as
well as Advanced Highers. Consider 5 courses. Why? Universities can request additional
Higher passes in different subjects rather than Advanced Higher in the same subject and 5 courses shows commitment.
