MADRASATI ‘my school’…

• A Queen Rania Al Abdullah initiative that was launched in 2008

• It is about rejuvenating the neediest public schools to encourage children to learn and reach their full potential

• It reached to 500 public schools across Jordan and 23 public schools in Jerusalem

• We established 22 centers in 8 governorates across the kingdom

• Currently, we have 10 in 5 governorates

• So far, we have: – Reached to more than 15k students

– Trained around 400 teachers

– Engagement of both Jordanian and Syrian Parents at the school level

• It is about providing safe and creative school spaces for students to be engaged in hands-on learning activities.

• It is an after-school program that brings students

to meet and work together twice a week. • It was launched in January 2016 in 26 schools in

9 governorates. • Each club accommodates 100 (+/-) students

curricular / enrichment/ extra-curricular program… There is actual learning!
