This is my first draft of my front cover, and I have chosen to set it out like this because it looks more or less like a backwards S shape, and therefore looks presentable to the target audience which is the within the school environment. I have chosen to put the Masthead in this font because it looks presentable but not that clear to read seeing as its not bold or it doesn’t stand out from a distance. I also put the font in Lucida Sans because it also looks readable and readable however it still didn’t stand out therefore after I got my School Magazine Peer Feedback, I had made relevant changes to my first draft front cover and then went on to produce my second draft front cover with the stated improvements.

This is my school magazine peer feedback, in which I received feedback in which will help my first draft front cover look more effective and clear as well as attention grabbing to the students who want to read this. I took on board the positive comments and also on the constructive criticism and make improvements to my first draft if they were necessary. I changed the fonts and the colours into more bold ones do that the front cover can be more attractive to the audience.

This is my second draft of my front cover and I have made the necessary changes and improvements that I have received from feedback. These changes included the Masthead and the different fonts within my front cover. I changed the font of the Masthead because I thought it was plain and not vibrant enough for the audience to read. I also changed it because its not bold enough either. I also chose to change the colours from blue to pink, because the pink matches with the folder that she is holding and this is effective because I wanted to represent that she is within the school environment and therefore this theme is portrayed through the props in this magazine front cover. The fact that she’s holding a bag and a folder and on the staircase is effective in addition to this.

Before…This is the image that we were given at first to practice on Photoshop. We had to make this picture look smooth and even, and this was how the picture looked like previously.

After……And this is how the picture looks now. I used a variety of different tools and made sure that this image was flawless and unblemished.
