The Cruise Application Programming Interface (API) addresses a need in the marketplace whereby large, sophisticated cruise businesses have access to complete cruise content in the Sabre Cruise Booking Engine. Customers want to have control over the presentation of the content. The Sabre Cruises API provides the same functionality that is present in Sabre Cruises reservations software today
The newly architected API is now a web service so that customers can use industry standard development tools without the overhead of learning and coding to the proprietary cruise messages
The Sabre Cruises API gives Sabre the ability to provide a comprehensive cruise content tool to sophisticated customers, mostly large online retailers, thus allowing Sabre to grow its business by capturing a larger percentage of cruise bookings in the marketplace
