    This guide is being created thanks to the $ork of a friend # met at >1" #t $as

    decided that putting out some sort of FAQ or guide $ould be of great help for the fans since the official strategy guide fell through thanks to Ascarons?

    money $oes" 8o$e!er support for this game continues thanks to the $ork of some

    dedicated folks and this guide is my small contribution"

    This guide $ill not include e!ery side6uest since that?d take more time than

    one person $ith another @ob can dedicate to it" 8o$e!er both campaigns $ill

     be included as $ell as all character opening scenarios" Skill build suggestions

    for each character $ill be included as $ell although these $ill be simple types

    to aid ne$er players"

    1" +haracters

    =========================================================&ryad==============

    'enerally speaking the &ryad $ill fill the role of ranged attacker" 8er skill

    $ith the bo$ blo$gun and @ust about any thro$n $eapon excels abo!e any that

    the other characters might hope to use" This means that she is able to hang

     back and pummel her foes $ith attacks from a distance" y herself she can ha!e

    some difficulty dealing $ith large groups or indi!idual foes but careful use of her skills can slo$ do$n damage and restrain foes" >xploiting these can allo$

    you to take out e!en the hardest enemies fairly easily"

    ==============

    8igh >lf 

    ==============This is your basic mage type character able to bend fire and ice to her $ill

    $hile also ha!ing a !ariety of support skills to call upon" While immensely

     po$erful in her o$n right she suffers greatly $hen forced to deal $ith enemies

    on her o$n" Since she relies almost entirely on the use of her skills to hurtenemies you ha!e to be careful ho$ you use them ho$ often you use them and

    $hat sort of e6uipment you?re putting on her" She is definitely the hardest of 

    the characters to get a handle on but also among the most po$erful"

    ==============#n6uisitor 

    ==============

    A ser!ant of pure darkness and Shado$ the #n6uisitor is the one character $ho

    is seemingly meant to stand on his o$n" With melee combat capabilities some

    ranged combat arts and the ability to summon allies to assist him in battle he

    is ready for most situations" The main problem here is that he doesn?t reallyexcel at any one type of fighting $hich lea!es him $ith issues $hen dealing

    $ith some of the tougher boss type monsters" 8o$e!er $ith the right e6uipment

    and skill useage he can actually be one of the most po$erful and rounded of all

    the characters in the game"

    Seraphim

    ==============

    (uch like the abo!e #n6uisitor the Seraphim has the tools to make herself a one

    $oman fighting machine" 8er combat capabilities are pretty excellent and $hen

     paired up $ith her combat arts she can be surprisingly po$erful" ;f course it

    can be 6uite a trial learning ho$ to use her properly since she is basically a$eaker !ersion of the Shado$ Warrior $hen you boil it all do$n" 8o$e!er she is

    a fairly beginner character so learning ho$ to use her isn?t really all that

    difficult it @ust re6uires some planning before playing for too long"

    ==============

    Shado$ Warrior ==============

    This is the primary $arrior type amongst the classes" While he initially might

    appear to be a brute character there are t$o $ays you can use him" 8e could bea brute relying on po$er o!er e!erything else or you could teach him skills

    that ha!e a more speed based focus" >ither $ay he is suitable to be a tank in

    most groups able to take as much damage as he can dish out" The one problem hecan come across is that of 6uicker enemies" Since he isn?t all that fast he

    $ill sometimes find himself seriously outnumbered so careful use of his A;>

    attacks is needed to keep him ali!e"

    ==============Temple 'uardian

    ==============

    ;ne of the stranger character types in the game this machine man is both a

    melee and ranged fighter" 8is arm cannon po$ered by a battery allo$s him to

    fire at enemies from a distance $ith one hand $hile he carries a melee $eaponin the other hand" This allo$s him to fight at all ranges $ith ease but stopshim from using t$o handed $eapons or shields" 8o$e!er his skills are all o!er 

    the place from area7of7effect spells to direct damage attacks and e!en do$n to

     buffs that change him into a pure melee fighter" The problem here is that all

    of this !ariety causes a number of $eaknesses namely amongst them him being

    o!erly reliant on socketing things into e6uipment" With only a fe$ really good

    skills he?s one of the $orst characters in the game"

    9" 'ods

    =========================================================

    'ods of 5ight

    ===================Forens 7 The 'oddess of /hilosophy seems to be something of a 'od of sages" 8er 

    &i!ine 'ift could be regarded as something peculiar seeing as ho$ it almost

    seems like hers and 5umens po$ers should be re!ersed" !il is a fickle mistress" While her di!ine gift

    is the most po$erful of the lot it?s also the most dangerous" er allo$s her 

    follo$ers to summon upon a mighty demon of immense proportions" This beast can

    clea!e through enemies like no problem but it $ill e!entually turn on you and begin trying to murder you" This is probably one of the least useful of the

    di!ine gifts since it?s @ust too dangerous" She is also exclusi!ely for those

    on the Shado$ +ampaign"

    uan 7 no$ as the 'od of War uan is regarded as the guardian of $arriors" 8e

    is an incredibly po$erful $arrior $ith cults that are literally all o!er the

    $orld" 8is di!ine gift is pretty po$erful and a great choice for #n6uisitorsuan?s reath" This causes all creatures in a large radius to be afflicted by

    confusion killing each other in an orgy of destruction" Dery useful"

    Testa 7 While he is kno$n as the 'od of Science he seems to be more of a 'od

    of the dark nature of science" Testa?s &i!ine 'ift is that of the Will7o7Wisp"

    These creatures assist the summoner by healing them $hile simultaneously doingdamage their opponents" #t?s not the most po$erful of skills but it can be !ery

    useful especially for ranged characters or a 8igh >lf"

    " 5ight Walkthrough=========================================================

    The 5ight +ampaign really seems to begin once you?!e reached Sloeford" Anything

    that goes on before this point is co!ered under the +lass Quests in a later 

    section of the guide" The campaign isn?t terribly difficult but a fe$ of the

    later bosses are some$hat difficult"

    "4) 7 +hapter ): 5e!ied Tax

    ==================================

    The elder tells you that some thie!es ha!e stolen their tax money and if you

    don?t get it back then the !illage is doomed" So lets follo$ our 6uest marker to the bridge north of to$n" From here the 6uest marker $ill mo!e deep into the

    >l!en lands of Tyr 5isia so you?!e got a $alk ahead of you" #t might be a good

    idea to complete a bunch of 6uests to help you get ready for the enemies you

    $ill be facing"

    >!entually you $ill find your $ay to Thylysia so head on o!er to the large

     building that makes up the Senate" When you talk to the guard he mentionssomething about not being able to do a bribe at the Senate building" %h""" not

    a good sign" %pon arri!al at the ta!ern you?re instead greeted by 5iosilath $ho

    tasks you $ith deli!ering those gems to the teachers $ho are building a ne$

    school on the outskirts of to$n"

    ring them to the area that looks like it $as demolished and you $ill be

    thanked for this" Bo$ you need to head to$ards the 6uest marker to speak to

    5iosilath again $hich $ill finally end this 6uest"

    ===================Through the Wall

    ===================

    Apparently $e need to make our $ay into the ;rcish territories to stop one of 

    the clans from getting too po$erful" Well it?s time to make our $ay o!er there

    then our first stop is @ust north of the to$n gates" From here the gold marker 

    is going to go all the freaking $ay o!er to the boundary bet$een the >l!en and;rcish territories $hich is a long long $alk" #t helps if you ha!e a horse by

    no$ to make the $hole thing less tedious"

    What you $ill $ant to do is head straight for +lear!ie$ if you ha!en?t gotten

    that portal already and from there head north to$ards the trading post" #f you

    don?t kno$ $here this is pick up the EA 5ong ourneyE 6uest in +lear!ie$" Thisgi!es you a small break from the enemies e!ery so often" Gour goal is the

    ressurection stone and teleporter in &ragonma$ /ass" With those acti!ated you

    can continue to the golden marker to find +ontact /erson +haros"

    Time to head on through the tunnelH The tunnel is !ery straightfor$ard so you

    can?t get turned around and it?s basically @ust a running fight against a bunch

    of enemies" The rats aren?t too hard but the floating enemies can be a bittough depending on your skills" #t?s easier for melee characters to get through

    all of this intact but good use of skills $ill allo$ anyone to pass $ithout you

    dying a bunch of times"

    To start the next stage of this 6uest you need to head east to the to$n there

    so it?s time to tra!elH This also marks the end of +hapter )H

    "42 7 +hapter 2: Through the Wall

    ==================================;nce you?!e checked out 'riffinborough to your hearts content you?re going to

    ha!e to make your $ay north to the gold marker" This can get pretty dicey" As

    you head more and more north you $ill start encountering $ere$ol!es that arereally really po$erful" These guys can do a $hole lot of damage really fast

    e!en if you?!e got a high defense !alue and they don?t go do$n easy" #f you?!e

    got a mount it?s suggested that you don?t ride it around them since this shuts

    off your buffs and pre!ents you from using any combat arts"

    L +harged Slam: With energy arcing bet$een his hands he $ill slam them into the

    ground causing a $a!e of energy to push you back" This tra!els in a straight

    line right at you damaging and stunning you for a bit" Try to a!oid this one

    especially if he is close to you"L nadris for some more information" #t seems like 5iosilath isnearby looking for you so $e need to meet up $ith him" 8ead on up to the north

    to find him in the building here" #t seems that the area that this colossus

    might ha!e come from is kno$n to him" 8e $ants us to continue to$ards the 'urag

    +lan and find out more information on this place the creature came from" Well

    $e?re heading deep into ;rc territory no$ so ya kno$ you?re getting some$here"

    5ooking at the map $e?re heading a fair $ays to the $est so get out that mountand start mo!ing" 5ea!e to$n !ia the north$estern road and stick to it this is

    going to take you all the $ay to your target but it @ust takes some time" As

    you go you?ll ha!e to deal $ith numerous goblins but once you cross the border 

    $all into the ;rcish territory you $ill start being attacked by the orcs" Theseguys aren?t too tough but they do gi!e a nice chunk of experience so if you

    need to 0 $ant to le!el up here?s a good place to use a potion of the mentor 

    and @ust go nuts"

    When you near the gold marker you $ill see a pit to your north $here a bunch of 

    orcs are fighting giant blue elementals" This is ob!iously that training areathat $as @ust talked about" To reach the orc you need to talk to you $ill ha!e

    to go around the $est side up o!er the north Ithrough

    leader of the 'urag +lan" Fine""" off to the $est to the to$n of >ntruag"

    LLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    LB;T>: &on?t go $andering off for this 6uest if you ha!en?t acti!ated the to$n

     portal in lder here to find out that you must kill ten Trolls @ust

    outside of to$n" 5uckily for you there are ;rc $arriors out there acting as

    some support so you?re not entirely on your o$n" These Trolls deal a fair bitof damage but they go do$n pretty 6uick to +ombat Arts so make liberal use of 

    these here" ;nce you ha!e the ten re6uested teeth head on back to the >lder to

    ha!e it made into a necklace" Bo$ you must take this necklace to the leader of 

    the +lan as proof of your !alor"

    (ake your $ay to Sloptok to the north to try to find the +lan 5eader" 8e?s notthere but there is someone else $ho seems $illing to accept you as a member of 

    the clan but the problem is that they need you to do something first of course"

    Gou need to find the leader of the ;re7Thag clan that is attacking this !illage

    and kill him so as to intimidate the tribe into stopping its onslaught" This is

    !ery easy" As easy as lea!ing the north gate killing the orc and then coming back to talk to the chief here" 8e directs you to the 'urag +lan leader $ho issome$here near the mountains to the $est so lets head that $ay oursel!es"

    Gour destination is the mountain pass !illage of Ma?Murik $here the clan leader 

    is actually located" %pon talking to +hieftain urrtag you $ill find out that a

    monster called the ;ctaglomus has taken o!er the ri!er that all the ;rc clans

    share" To get it out of the $ater so you can kill it you $ill ha!e to bring ashaman o!er there and let him run the $ell dry" This is going to be a bit on

    the rough side but not as bad as you might think" (r" Shaman is actually fairly

    competant at not running off into horrible situations"

    Wet &anger 

    ===================(ake your $ay north along the ri!er and mountains to a!oid as much trouble as

     possible" Soon you $ill reach a mountain pass that you can slip through to head

    to$ards the gold marker" Acti!ate the ressurection marker as you go and then

    head on into the ca!es" &o$n here you $ill ha!e to cut your $ay through somegoblins before your each the 6uest marker" Talk to the shaman once you reach

    the location and he $ill perform his ritual to shut do$n the flo$ of $ater"

    With that done head back the $ay you came in the tunnels to find a pre!iously

    locked door" #t can no$ be opened to allo$ you access to the ;ctaglomus" 'o

    through the tunnels killing any goblins you encounter and exit out the other tunnel here" Gou?re no$ in the mountain !alley that is home to the beast"

    LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    ;SS: ;ctaglomus

    LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    %nfortunately the ;ctaglomus isn?t 6uite as easily defeated as the 'ar?+olossus$as" 8e is far too big and has far too much reach for you to defeat him $ithout

    at least some frustration" This is doubly true if you?re fighting him by your 

    lonesome but it is mitigated exponentially by ho$ mnay people you bring along

    into this fight $ith you" So $ith four people it?s not 6uite as bad as it is

    $ith t$o and by yourself it?s @ust a headache"

    The problem here is that all of the ;ctaglomus? attacks ha!e a $hole lot of 

    reach due to his cephalapod body" So you?re going to ha!e a hard time dodging

    his attacks $hen he sets his sights on you" Add on the ability to reach out and

    literally pull you in close so he can smash you do$n easier this isn?t going to

     be an easy one"

    A list of his attacks:L First of all you $ill be trying to deal $ith his regular attacks $here he

    slams the ground $ith his tentacles" This does a fair bit of damage"

    L A spray of ink in your direction that does a fair bit of damage and seems to

     be able to stun you momentarily"

    L +harging himself $ith electricity he smashes the ground doing hea!y damage to

    anyone caught in the attack"

    L lf" 8e $ill knock through barriers like the Temple 'uardians shield in

    a single strike and he mo!es too fast to actually outpace e!en $ith a mountso @ust get in his face and lay into him"

    With a group of people let one dra$ aggro from him and keep his attention $hile

    the others pummel him from a distance" This makes for a 6uick easy kill on the

    lo$er difficulties although the target of his ire should be prepared $ith lots

    of healing items any$ays" The attackers should all ha!e some form of fire typedamage at their disposal be it through combat arts or enhanced $eapons since

    these attacks do more damage to the ;ctaglomus than any other"

    As you deal damage to him he $ill lose some of his tentacles reducing his

    range of attack and ho$ many people he can hit at once" &on?t let up and keepon pummeling him to finish him off $hen this starts happening for lots of /and items from the bra$l"

    l!es capti!e" Set them free

    as he indicates only to find out that the stupid pointy ears Ias the Temple'uardian likes to call themJ is an arrogant fop" ut he does tell you that you

    need to go speak to the Seraphim in their +rystal /alace" This is pretty far to

    the north from Sloptok so be ready for another expidition before setting out"

    efore you can actually get to the +rystal /alace you?re going to need a boat

    that lea!es from the ;rcish lands" The 6uest marker $ill lead you to a Ships

    +aptain in the harbor to$n of lulutuC" Talk to him to end this 6uest and thenspeak to him a second time to tra!el to Seraphim #sland" The island itself is

    not that big of a deal the enemies aren?t too difficult but there are a lot of 

    them and this is the point of the game $here you?re going to see a lot of magic

     being thro$n at you" This is probably the point $here you $ill $ant to startlooking into items that protect you from other sources of damage not only the

     physical damage"

    (ake your $ay to$ards the golden marker to find the (aid of the Seraphim and to

    get the next 6uest"

    "49 7 +hapter 9:

    ha!e to head to the northeastern tip near the ressurection stone and then make

    your $ay do$n the $inding path there" This $ill e!entually lead you to the

    citadel $here Sophia lairs" There?s another $estern path but the northeastern

    one $hile longer is a better choice since you get to acti!ate the stone"

    Talk to Sophia to learn a $hole lot of nothing besides backstory and then it?s

    time to find 5iosilath on the island" 8ead back to the area that you spoke to

    the (aid and head on o!er to $here the shop is that?s $here 5iosilath is$aiting for you" Talk to him to find out that you?re going to ha!e to head on

    o!er to the &ragons to find out the information that you?re looking for"

    Teleport back on o!er to the librarian to find out that you need a protecti!e

    amulet made out of &ragon scales" We need to make our $ay back to Sophias area

     but $e?re not talking to her" 8ead around to the side of the to$er to$ards the

    crystals at the back and you $ill find the +arnach +a!e" (ake your $ay to$ards

    the back of it $here you $ill find a &ragon 8unter $ho can help you out"

    "4 7 +hapter : Fire rimstone and &ragon Scale

    ==================================

    #t seems that this hunter kno$s of a settled &ragon nearby and if you get to it

    that it?s scales are $orth a lot" Well seeing as ho$ $e need those scales tostay ali!e in the lands of the &ragons let?s go along $ith him" #gnore the ca!enearby and continue mo!ing for$ard through these tunnels" Gou?re going to be

    slo$ly but steadily making your $ay to$ards this &ragons lair"

    After a bit of cutting your $ay through the enemies you $ill find a portal and

    ressurection stone you should acti!ate" #f you need to lea!e these $ill make

    getting back !ery easy" Bo$ continue pressing your $ay for$ard" These tunnelsaren?t !ery complicated to find your $ay through they are @ust cram packed full

    of enemies" >ssentially you?re going to ha!e a running bra$l on your hands so

    make sure you?re ready for it"

    When you find the &ragon you?re looking for""" he?s already dead" 8is body is

    surrounded by hostile >l!es $ho $ill attack you the moment they see you" These

    ;!erseers and their minions aren?t too hard to take out so $ipe the floor $iththem and then talk to your &ragon 8unter friend" Gou are gi!en the scale you

    needed but you should talk to the nearby kennels to find out $hat they $ere

    guarding so !iciously"

    LLLLLLLLLLLLLL

     B;T>: #t is !ery hard to play a ranged attack character do$n here" The tunnels

    are cramped enemies get in your face $ith ease and $hen they mo!e around you

    $ill often find yourself ha!ing difficulty targeting the enemy that you are

    trying to aim for"

    LLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    #t seems that the inside of these pens are li!ing food for the &ragons humans

    and liCardmen mostly" There seems to be some sort of resistance mo!ement to

    sa!e people from being &ragon food but they are a fair $ays a$ay so be ready to

    spend 6uite a bit of time underground" (ake your $ay to$ards the northeast from

    $here you are to head in the direction of the t$o ressurection stones" Thenorthern one is your first target as $ell as the merchant near it"

    >!entually you $ill reach an area called The (aCe" This is named such since it

    is !ery easy to find yourself going the $rong $ay here" Watch the direction you

    are mo!ing in !ery carefully here" First head to the east from the start take

    the eastern path again at the next intersection of tunnels and then head to the$est at the next intersection" This $ill lead you straight to the 6uest marker 

    $hich is a staircase out of the tunnels" &aylightH GesH

    %nfortunately this daylight thing isn?t going to be lasting !ery long" This is

    a !ery small island so reaching lackhammer takes no time at all and he sends

    you right back into the tunnels" (ake your $ay to the south from $here you are

    and you $ill be able to proceed to$ards the 6uest marker" Soon enough you $illreach the lair of the &ragon"

    LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    This boss""" pure hatred" /robably one of the most annoying fights in the game

    anthiar isn?t necessarily hard but glitches happen !ery easily here" #t?s !eryeasy for you to get stuck under his belly $here he can proceed to @ust continue

    to abuse you for the longest time and there isn?t too much that you can do

    about this issue""" except to die" ;!er and o!er"

    anthiar isn?t necessarily hard though" ;h sure his attacks might do a $hole

    lot of damage he has a ridiculous amount of health and his defenses are $aaayhigh but you can protect yourself from a fair bit of this" 5et?s look at his

    attacks to see $hat # mean"

    L 8is primary attack is a high po$ered blast of energy from his mouth" This

    seems like it should be fire most e!ery other attack in this dungeon is fire

     based but e!en a ridiculous amount of fire protection seems to do nothing tostop this" %ltimately the best defense against this is to keep your health at

    maximum as much as possible" This might be magic energy"

    L Flame strikes from the sky $ill rain do$n on you occasionally" There?s not a

    $hole lot you can do about this attack either" >6uip things to resist fire

     based attacks to reduce the amount of damage that you take"L asic cla$ and bite attacks" These are not your main concern during the fightsince they don?t do all that much damage"

    L /o$er strikes" #t?s hard to identify these attacks as incoming but you can

    tell $hen they hit by your controller starting to !ibrate like craCy" These do

    a lot of damage and it?s imperati!e that you start healing immediately"

    L 5eaping smashes" ;ccasionally the dragon $ill leap up into the air and crash

    do$n on top of your character" This is $here you get stuck under him" #t doesnot do all that much damage on its o$n but once you?re trapped things get !ery

    rough for you all around"

     Bo$ being trapped under him does seem to protect you from his fire breath type

    attack but that?s about it" Also take note that e!en if the dragon is focused

    entirely on one particular person others $ho enter melee $ith it can still be

    damaged by its attacks e!en though it?s not e!en facing them" Assume that the$ings and tail are battering your people"

    Aggra!atingly enough anthiar really doesn?t ha!e any $eaknesses either" What

    he does ha!e is a resistance to physical fire based and magical attacks" 8isattacks deal physical fire magic and poison damage so that?s a lot to be

     preparing yourself for" The only !ulnerability he has is to ice or electricity"

    'enerally speaking there aren?t a $hole lot of these that $ill do too much

    damage to the dragon so you?re going to ha!e to tough it" 5astly the fight can

    really drag so expect to see your buffs fade a$ay so keep your eyes on that"

    &efeating anthiar due to all of this really boils do$n to a slugfest" Gou?re

    going to @ust ha!e to pummel his face in $ith a $eapon that does a good amount

    of damage and place something in it so that it does ice or at least poison type

    damage" (ake sure you ha!e relics set to protect you from magic poison and

    at least in your mid724?s or so"

    To start $ith simply e6uip the best armor you can get as $ell as the best anti7fire and physical damage e6uipment you can cram on your character" #f you candeal ice damage then no$?s the time to get those combat arts ready for use"

    5et?s talk about $hat sort of attacks you?ll be dealing $ith:

    L To start the fight off he $ill almost al$ays summon up some fire elementals

    to attack you $hile he $aits" They?re easy to kill but he $ill heal any damage

    you dealt to him $hile you do this so don?t $aste your good skills or &i!ine'ift before this gets done"

    L Slam the ground and damage all nearby characters a fair bit" Bot exactly a

    huge damage dealer but it can be painful to $eaker characters"

    L Strike far a$ay opponents $ith flame attacks" This attack has only been done

    once during the course of putting this guide together"

    So long as you stick someone in his face $ho can take the beating +arnach $illstick almost exclusi!ely to his basic melee attack" This hits hard and fast but

    nothing that you can?t @ust use potions to heal yourself from" So long as you

    fight to the death to see if you can enter the desert"

    8o$e!er the liCardman refuses to fight and you $ill need to speak to the Tribal

    5eader again" 8o$e!er he is pleased by your loyalty and you are allo$ed to

    enter the lands as $ell as in!ited to @oin his tribe" The liCardman is going to

    lea!e you at this point but he informs you that your next destination is the

    oasis to the south of your location" Well fine flat lea!er" l7&arrag in no time"

    (ake your $ay to the gold marker and speak to %ncle?s Ally" #f this story he

    tells you sounds something like the +a!e of Wonders from Aladdin you?re not

    alone" #n either case your ne$ destination is on the other side of a gorge thatlooks like a dry ri!er $ith only t$o places it can be reliably crossed @ust

    $est Iand a bit northJ of >l7&arrag and aaaalll the $ay to the south $here you

    can s$ing around the gorge" ;b!iously your best bet is to the $est"

    When you head to the $est you $ill ha!e to s$ing @ust a bit north and then do$n

    into the gorge proper" From here @ust keep mo!ing $est and you $ill find the

    thin path up onto the other side" There are numerous &esert /eople here some

    riding on the back of giant beetles and they can deplete your health in recordtime if you aren?t a serious po$erhouse so $atch your health at all times"

    After cutting through an army of these guys you $ill find the tomb you $eresent to enter" This is a pretty easy ca!e to get through $ith only some $eak 

     beetles as your foes" 'rab the scroll from the back of the ca!e $hen you?!e

    cleared the path" &; B;T T>5>/; +AD>H #f you do this then the gold6uest marker does B;T update and you $ill ha!e to enter and lea!e the ca!e once

    again to make it update" When you lea!e the ca!e you $ill see the marker mo!e

    to the big city in the canyon area in the middle of the map this is horum"

    Teleport on o!er to >l7&arrag turn in the Attack is the est &efense mission

    and start the trip to horum" Gou $ill find some spiders along the $ay big ol?ne$ enemies for you to fight" This is as good a point as any to e6uip some

    anti7poison relics to help protect you from the enemies here if you ha!e not

    done so already" Bear the end of this trip as you near the Alchemists home

    the spiders and beetles get incredibly plentiful so make sure to e6uip them

     before you hit this point"

    y follo$ing the road you $ill reach a narro$ mountain pass that takes you to

    the alchemists house" Speak to him and he $ill agree to follo$ you" &; B;T

    T>5>/;nter the ca!es and make your $ay to the 'arganthropod"

    /robably one of the toughest bosses in the $hole damn game the 'arganthropod is

    more than capable of $iping out a $hole group of ad!enturers in short order if 

    you aren?t !ery careful about fighting it" The problem is that you?re not safe

    no matter $here you are and all of his attacks pack a serious punch" 5et?s look at ho$ bad they are:

    L Whereas most bosses basic melee attack is no big deal this scorpion packs a

    mean left 0 right combo" With a clip of each cla$ your health $ill plummet"

    This is often paired up $ith a stab of its stinger that can clea!e e!en a tough

    melee fighter do$n to siCe"

    L #t can stab its tail into the ground causing it to rise up out of the sand tostab a target" This doesn?t do as much damage as a melee combo but it?s pretty

     bad regardless and it can hit people in a 134 degree radius" ;h and it?s also

    !ery freaking hard to dodge"

    L While it normally doesn?t resist #ce all that much it can co!er its body in a

    sheen of #ce" This causes it to deal @ust a bit of #ce damage and shoots up the

     beasts resistance to #ce magics"

    L 5ast but most certainly not least is its digging ability" #t $ill start tomo!e its cla$ like it is digging in the ground sending dust and rocks flying

    at your face" #f you stand in the $ay of this you $ill lose most of your health

    in one fell s$oop" #t?s imperati!e that you and anyone else $ith you get theheck out of the $ay of this or you might find yourself at that ressurection

    stone you @ut passed"

    L ;h and @ust for the heck of it he $ill summon up t$o of the bigger scorpionmonsters to attack" These guys do a $hole lot of damage on their o$n"

    %nfortunately the big boy is also incredibly fast and has little problem $ith

    keeping pace $ith a character $ho is running around" This means that the battle

    is going to ha!e to de!ol!e into a slugfest" To increase your chances of making

    it through the bra$l you?re going to $ant to do a fe$ things:

     7 'et the best armor you possibly can" (ost of his attacks are physical blo$s

    so simply raising up your defense !alues can help out immensely"

     7 %se relics and blacksmithing to boost your defense against poison" 8e does a

    $hole lot of poison damage $ith that stinger and you really $ant to mitigatethat as much as possible" 7 ring a $eapon that does fire damage" While the boss takes more damage from

    fire than ice for the most part he has no abilities that allo$ him to resist

    the heck out of fire" This makes it a solid choice for $eapon as $ell as being

    a good idea of $hat skills you should be using"

     7 #f you are dying a lot to him bring a friend" #f you?re a magic user or 

    archer type then a tank can help you immensely Iand !ice !ersaJ" So long as you$ork together it $ill die readily"

     7 ill the little scorpions as soon as they appear" These guys do a $hole lot

    of damage sometimes more than the boss itself" &on?t allo$ yourself to be hit

     by a triple team or you $ill be dead in a flash"

    ust keep flailing a$ay until the big boy drops" When he stops being hostile

    run o!er to him and use the action command to set him on fire killing the big beast off and netting you a lot of experience"

    With the beast dead use the green teleporter in the pre!ious room near theressurection stone to be teleported out of the ca!es" (ake your $ay to : #?m not sure if this is a glitch or $hat but there $ere se!eral occasions

    itself" (ake sure to acti!ate the ressurection stone here and then head on in

    to meet ral of the Winged &aemons" 8e?s not necessarily $hat you might ha!e been expecting" Take note of the energy turrets in the room $ith him 7 it is a

    good idea to bust these up before you get ral?s attention to stop them from

    attacking you during the boss fight"

    ral isn?t actually a normal creature he?s some sort of T7>ng po$ered flying

    machine that $ants to eat your face" 8o$e!er he?s not actually as deadly as youmight initially think" 8e can do some serious damage and he has a $hole lot of 

    health but by simply staying close you $ill be surprised at ho$ 6uickly this

     boss battle ends" ral only has a fe$ attacks you need to be $orried about:

    L Since he flies all o!er the place he $ill sometimes try to put some space bet$een you and him before firing on you $ith t$in energy bursts" These can doa $hole lot of damage if they inflict a critical but aren?t all that bad as

    long as you ha!e some arcane resistance"

    L Also performed from a distance he $ill sometimes let out a $a!e of sound 0

    force at you" Whereas the energy blast only hits one person this can hit more

    or less e!eryone in one direction" This seems to be another arcane attack so it

    isn?t too dangerous if you?re prepared"L 5astly he $ill focus on a single character in melee range tucking his body

    in and starting to attack D>!erything that he does is

     basically one of these t$o $ith a slight bit of fire damage on top of it" This

    fire damage is negligable so focus on the other t$o" With that done you really

    can try to fight him either from a distance or face to face" #f you?re at adistance make sure that you try to dodge his blasts @ust to spare yourself some

    healing"

    8onestly this is another slugfest for the most part but the trick is that he is

    one of the easier bosses" 8e should gi!e you little to no difficulty if you?re

     prepared for him"LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    With that done you can no$ enter the city" 'o do$n into the entrance indicated

    and kill the three >arth >lementals" Bo$ make your $ay further into the ca!e to

    find some pillars you can acti!ate" &o so to find out @ust $hat happened to the

    'reat (achine" Step o!er to the pedestal and acti!ate it a fe$ times to ha!e alittle chat $ith 5iosilath" Seems that $e need to make our $ay to the &ryads

    5ands to get the key to reach the 'reat (achine"

    Take the path either to the north or $est out of the 5ost +ity Inorth is longer 

     but seems to be the easier of the t$oJ and make your $ay to the coastal to$n of 

     Ba7Fian to find a ships captain $ho $ill take you to the island of the &ryadsAerandyr" This is $here you $ill find that key""" and lots of tree huggers"

    kill the t$o of them" Gou can no$ return to hippie""" concerned $oodland lady

    &ranaigh" Gou?re gi!en permission to enter the forest but they $ant you to

    rescue a &ryad girl" Well that?s a good cause so let?s get right on $ith that"

    As you make your $ay there you $ill encounter some orcs standing in the road$ho $ish to talk to you" These are the orcs you rescued from the strip mine

     @ust before" They $ill help you get back the girl so continue along to your 

    ob@ecti!e $ith your buddies in to$" They?re pretty good fighters so they don?t

    hold you back any" From the ressurection stone to the north your goal is to the

    $est so head on o!er to find the andit +amp"

    At the camp you $ill ha!e to fight three fairly tough bandits Inot a $hole lot

    of damage but they can take F;D>< to kill offJ" 8o$e!er they gi!e a bunch of 

    experience so using a mentor potion might be a good idea" When they?re dead go

    on o!er to the girl in the magical cage to free her" &yria $ill teleport a$ay

    after asking you to find her so she may properly sho$ her gratitude"

    With that done head back to the ressurection stone and head north this time"

    Take the long $inding path to another ressurection stone and continue for$ard

    to find the city of &yr75aigh" To enter the city you?re going to ha!e to $alk 

    into the big ol? tree and take the ele!ator into it" From there continue to$ard

    the 6uest marker" Actually na!igating around this city can be a serious pain in

    the ass since things are so t$isty7tur!y in this city" The best thing to do is

    keep mo!ing to$ards the 6uest marker and only use ele!ators in your direct pathto a!oid too much confusion" When you reach the main body of the city talk to

    &yria to find out $hat?s next"

    ;kay so the little girl is leader of the &ryads and $e ha!e to kill some beast

    made out of crystals to find the key $e needN Fair enough" We should begin to

     prepare oursel!es for the fight no$ so that $e?re better off $hen the time

    comes to actually fight this guy" The boss uses cold and magic attacks so makesure you?!e got some good defense against those" Also you $ill $ant to get your 

    $eapon dealing either fire or poison damage preferably one of each you can

    s$ap on the fly"

    With all of that done you can head on$ards to the destination on your map" As

    you go the road is going to get absolutely thick $ith hostile &ryads and other !arious enemies" Watch your health bar and make a shot for the northern7most

    resurrection stone" Follo$ the path around until you enter a ca!e" Bo$ the only

    thing standing bet$een you and the boss are some minor enemies so cut through

    them and find yourself at the lair of the Facetteleon"

    The Facetteleon is probably one of the most annoying bosses in the game" 8e?s

    not the hardest but the $ay that he is designed makes fighting him an excercise

    in the $orst sorts of frustration" With only one really damaging attack to his

    name he instead relies upon his extremely high defense and hit points as $ell

    as a single really po$erful attack to dra$ this one out"

    L 8is basic attacks are 6uick to strike but they don?t do much damage" This is

    nothing to $orry about and it means that staying close keeps you from taking

    much in the $ays of damage"

    L #f you stay at a distance he $ill fire off a burst of arcane lightning at you

    that does a hefty bit of damage" 8o$e!er e!en a lo$ 8/ character should be able

    to sur!i!e this $ith little difficulty and simply heal from it"L A radial life leeching attack" This one is the real pain in the rear" Anyone

    $ho is nearby the beast $ill start ha!ing their 8/ drained to supply it $ith

    health" The more people in the area the faster it heals" This means that it isactually a A& idea to use summoned pets escorts or e!en other players against

    this guy if you?re not fighting carefully" Gou can identify this attack by him

    shooting off blasts of light around the area"L >!ery single attack that he does carries a chance of stunning you" This plus

    his health leeching is $hat makes this fight so long dra$n out and annoying"

    The regeneration is the serious problem here and it means you?re going to ha!e

    to $atch your health or you might find yourself in a bad situation suddenly" To

     be honest this fight is probably one of the most frustrating battles put into a!ideo game if you?re not playing the right sort of character" A EpureE type

    character like a melee Shado$ Warrior 0 Seraphim or a magical type like a good

    8igh >lf can tear this boss apart" (ean$hile more ranged character types like

    &ryads or certain Temple 'uardian builds $ill probably find this to fight to

    de!ol!e into sheer frustration and aggra!ation by the time the boss gets do$nto around 2O of his health"

    %nfortunately if you?re one of these people the best thing you can do is get

    some friends to help you kill the thing" ust make sure that they?re focused

    melee types if you $ant to do this $ith the least amount of frustration"

    The general strategy to beat him is to try and get off as many &/S type attacksas you can in as short a time possible" y ha!ing a series of spells going off 

    like this you can $hittle do$n his health e!en $hen he?s got you stunned" #f 

    you ha!e a good &i!ine 'ift like Forens? then that can help protect you from

    the stunning effects but other$ise there?s no real $ay around them" So @ust

    keeping him losing health to fire or magic &/S is ideal although ice $ill $ork"

    Amusingly enough he has absolutely no defense against physical damage" 8e doesha!e a really high defense though I$arrior focused Temple 'uardian only has a

    14"-O chance to hit in one playthroughJ so you end up struggling"

    >!entually the nuisance $ill finally die allo$ing you to proceed" Fight your 

    $ay through the enemies still remaining in the ca!e and get the 8ub ey from

    the center platform" Follo$ the path out of the ca!es from the other side and

    &o$n here is $here this place starts getting hard as hell" Gou $ill ha!e to

    fight off lots of &emons Flying &emons and then yet more po$erful &emons $ho

    can summon up urning Skeletons to fight alongside them" ;h and they can shootred lightning at you $hich paralyCes you" 5ots of fun" (ake good use of your 

    &i!ine 'ift and +ombat Arts but al$ays keep your finger on the health potion

    After plenty of trials and hardships you $ill reach the next resurrection stone

    $hich is inside of a basecamp" Armor up unload your garbage and restock up on potions before you continue for$ard through the ne$ 'uardian enemies" #t?s !ery

    out all of these other 'uardians"

    Fen Fire enemies" They?re annoying most of the time but here they can kill you

    from $aking up this is ob!iously a bad thing" #f this happens you?re going to

    ha!e to lea!e and come back hoping that fixes the problem"

    That lea!es you either taking the risk of @ust bra$ling it out $ith them and

    the (achine simultaneously or dealing $ith glitches" That?s your call" Bext upis the actual 'uardians themsel!es"

    All four of the Bameless 'uardians use the same basic attacks $hile fighting:L A strong do$n$ard thrust $ith their preying mantis type cla$s" This does a

    decent amount of damage but if you?re hit $ith a critical $hile they?re doing

    this then expect to be in a $orld of pain"

    L A one7t$o combo $ith both of their cla$s" This hits you from the right and

    then left cutting your health do$n 6uite immensely" #f you?re hit $ith a crit

    in the middle of this it might be lights out for you should your resistancesnot be up to snuff"

    8onestly due to their ra$ damage output and @ust ho$ hard they can be to fight

    if you?re not of a !ery particularly ideal character build it?s almost suicide

    to try and fight them inside of the room" #n three playthroughs the only one

    that has been successful at this ordeal is a Shado$ Warrior $ho $as built totank damage no matter the source" ;ther$ise it?s been almost impossible to do

    this solo" 8o$e!er if you ha!e a solid build or a good party then feel free to

    gi!e it a try" Fighting it inside of the room is much more re$arding as you dofeel a great sense of accomplishment"

    #f you do start dying due to running out of potions and you?re fighting thefinal Bameless 'uardian there are a fe$ options" Firstly you could choose to

     @ust lea!e the 'reat (achine and bounce around bet$een the !arious shops to buy

    all of the potions you can get your hands on" y doing this you?re going to see

    the 'uardian you $ere currently fighting return to full health"

    #f you don?t $ant to see this happen Ilikely because it?s mostly deadJ thenyour only option is to keep returning to the 'uardian selling potions right in

    front of the stairs here and keep on buying his potions" Gou?re likely to die

     by doing this but you $ill e!entually $ear the beast do$n"

    ut then again this fight can be brutally difficult if you?re not prepared for it" A Temple 'uardian Ile!el 1J on a Cero death playthrough died to the final'uardian 22 times since it $as literally impossible to damage him enough to

    slo$ do$n his life leeching before he took my health in full" ;n the other end

    of the spectrum a much frailer 8igh >lf defeated the lot of them on her first

    real try so it?s hard to predict ho$ your build $ill hold up until you try"

    First the big turtles and rats are pretty tough" The turtles can stun you for

    / if you see them coming"

    (ake your $ay to the museum and speak to the curator t$ice to be allo$ed in"There are spiders and a ghost in there so you?re going to ha!e to take them out

     but since you?re Epest controlE that shouldn?t be a problem" Bo$ speak to the

    curator to be told to bring it to Tyosso located along the $estern coast of 

    the to$n" LsighL Time to head on o!er there"

    When you reach Tyosso?s home you $ill be attacked by three $arriors and thenthree ghosts" The $arriors are fairly tough but they shouldn?t be too bad if 

    you?re $ell le!eled Iand you should be by no$J" Take them out and talk to

    Tybosso to find out that he needs you to get him a$ay from the city before he

    $ill gi!e you the item" The trek is yet longer than any you?!e done before and

    the enemies are really tough so you?re going to need a lot of health potions"

    8ead on o!er to the market and buy any impro!ed $eapons and armor before youmo!e out"

    Along the $ay you $ill ha!e to fight el!en $arriors and bandits that are out to

    get you for helping Tyosso they?re a bit harder than the other enemies but

    not too bad" There are ho$e!er a $hole lot of undead including some po$erful

    spellcasting melee ones that you $ill need to be mindful of" eep your health

    to Tyosso he tells you he heard a noise and that you should in!estigate before

    mage into the house to kill Tyosso" With him dead the mage $ill re$ard you andfinally end this 6uest"

    With Tyosso dead you can search the nearby stables to find a replica $oodenship" This $ill start the Derification 6uest" The next marker is a fair bit off 

    so you might $ish to $ait until you ha!e the EThrough the WallE main storyline

    6uest since they both take you in the same direction" ;nce there enter the ca!e

    and start fighting your $ay through the enemies" e mindful of the strange orb

    to$er things in the back room" These act as turrets and $ill do some pretty

    high damage to you if you don?t tend to them and the enemies 6uickly"

    With e!erything dead head on o!er to the terminal and use it" When you use it

    it seems that the trail you?re follo$ing $as set by none other than you" The

    items you?re picking up are someho$ related to this" #n any case your next

    destination is @ust a bit further ahead up the road outside of &ragonma$ /ass"

     B;T>: e careful $hen riding around in the area near &ragonma$ /ass" Se!eral

    times an in!incible harpy $as encountered" She had super speed enabling her to

    keep up $ith the character on a +harger horse did a lot of damage and took no

    damage from any attack of any damage type" This is likely @ust a minor glitch

     but it happens often enough you should be mindful of it" #f you find it @ustrun to &ragonma$ /ass acti!ate the teleporter teleport some$here else and

    then teleport back to get rid of it"

    When you reach &ragonma$ /ass speak to the hologram standing outside of the

    encampment for some more plot type information" #t seems that your next goal is

    fairly deep in the human lands so you?!e got some tra!eling ahead of you beforeyou can ad!ance this 6uest"

    %pon arri!al in the human lands you can make your $ay to the northern parts of 

    the land to reach this destination" Gou $ill find yourself in an area calledthe Whisper$ood a haunted forest populated by the ghosts of slain animals"

    There is a ca!e you are looking for here a staircase that leads do$n into $hat

    look like ruins" >ntering this ca!e $ill lead you into a fight $ith a bunch of 

    ghostly $arriors that appear to be Shado$ Warriors" 'hostly undeadN Weird"

    ust a bit deeper into this dungeon is a ghost #n6uisitor $ith some prettystrong attack spells but a Temple 'uardian $ill come out of the back to help

    you out so you shouldn?t ha!e too hard of a time" Bo$ you can examine the

    !arious consoles in this room" The first one talks about the dragons and seems

    to be a recording of your character" Same thing $ith the second one" Bo$ talk 

    to the Temple 'uardian but $hat he is saying doesn?t make a $hole lot of sense

    to anyone other than him"

    (ake your $ay to the back of the ruin to enter a ca!e containing a bunch of 

    Thousand Gear ;ld onsai &ragons" Gou need to kill all of these before you can

    lea!e and head to the next step of this mystery" 8ead back outside $here you

    $ill see the hologram $aiting for you speak to it" Gour next step is to head

    to$ards a signal being gi!en off by a Temple 'uardian in Trollo!en so let?s gofind them"

    The 6uickest $ay to get there is to start either from %rthaks (oxie or the
