ANNUAL SHCCW FALL BAZAAR The Sacred Heart Council of Catholic Women announce that their annual fall bazaar will take place on Saturday, November 10th from 8 am until 2 pm. This year’s ba-zaar will feature a special event. The quilt which was presented to Fr. Buchignani by the SHCCW on his 25th Ordination Anniversary will be given away. This queen-sized quilt was made by the women of the parish. Tick-ets for the quilt will be offered to you after all Masses on the weekend of October 27th & 28th and again on No-vember 3rd & 4th. A donation of $5 for the ticket will be requested. The SHCCW asks our ladies (and gentlemen, too!) to be preparing crafts, home canned jellies & jams, home canned foods, baked goods, etc. for donation to the yearly fundraiser. The proceeds are distributed locally, including to our school & public charities such as God’s Storehouse, The Shelter, & A Kid’s Place. It is the cus-tom to make up holiday food baskets for giving to needy families, as well. Your donations will be deeply appreci-ated!
*Next SHCCW meeting date: Wed., 11/7
Sacred Heart School “BIG Paper Drive” Our school is one of the leading re-cyclers in the county! The principal, staff, & students are requesting your help in a big “push” for the prize money!!! From November 1 through November 30th, the school needs paper...preferably HEAVY paper such as old books & magazines...but any paper will do! Just bring your paper goods to the re-cycling shed as you attend Mass & help the school to maintain its repu-tation as a leader in the re-cycling effort.
Thanks!!!!

The Pope Who Saved Rome Saturday, Nov. 10th is the memorial of Pope St. Leo the Great. Among other things, this saint is notable for saving Rome from a powerful invader...Attila the Hun. Pope Leo bravely went out to meet the fierce Attila (452 C. E.) and spoke with him within the royal tent. Attila then withdrew his troops across the Danube River. No one knows to this day what the pope might have said!
All ladies of the parish are invited to a baby shower for Crissinda Akins’s coming little one. It will be on Sunday Nov. 11th (2 pm— 4 pm) in
the school cafeteria.
