Transi on to the Church We are not yet able to a full return to pre-virus prac ce. But we will take another step in our return to Masses with people present. The past three weeks have gone well with the prac ce of distanc-ing and wearing masks. Beginning Tuesday, June 30, daily Mass will be in the church with the current precau ons. This weekend, Saturday, July 4, 5:30 and Sunday, July 5, 8:00 and 10:30 Masses will also be in the church. (NO SUNDAY EVENING MASS AT THIS TIME). THE SAME SYSTEM WE USE NOW REMAINS IN EFFECT.

It is possible to watch the livestream at the 8:00 Sunday Mass in your car in the parking lot and to receive communion a er Mass. Confessions are held on Saturdays from 4:30 to 5:00 pm in the church. All other sacraments are by arrangement. Call the office to indicate which Mass you will a end and how many. Masks are required. You must observe the spacing shown in the pews similar as in the hall. You cannot sit where every other pew is roped off. If we can accomplish this safely, we can remain in the church. If not we will stop having Mass there. This prac ce will con nue un l Bishop Estévez advises otherwise. Thank you for helping our community stay safe.

In Our Parish...

SHARE THE BURDEN “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest” (Ma hew 11:28). These words of our Savior seem to be in stark contrast to the previous chapter from the same Gospel, when we were told that if we do not take up our crosses, we are not worthy of Christ. Connec ng these two messages might help us on our faith journeys. Being a follower of Christ surely means that we must embrace the cross, in its mystery of both suffering and triumph. This is something that we need not do alone, for the burden is o en too heavy for us to carry by ourselves. Who, then, do we turn to? We can turn to the Body of Christ—the community of disci-ples gathered for worship. When we find the burden too heavy, let us remember that we can share that burden with our Chris an sisters and brothers, who can help bring us rest. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

The Second Va can Council de-scribed the common good as “the sum total of social condi ons which allow people, either as groups or as individuals, to reach their fulfillment more fully and

more easily” (Gaudium et Spes, 26). It consists of respect for the person, the well-being of the socie-ty, and the maintenance of peace. (CCC 1906-1909)
