2) Read and ponder Romans 8:31-39 and reflect on Sunday’s sermon.

What points from this Sunday’s Bible passages resonate with you?

How are you encouraged? How are you challenged? What questions come to mind?

3) Understanding God’s love for us through reading Romans When Paul looks back on “these things” (Romans 8:31), what aspects of

our salvation does he add up? See Romans 8:15, 17, 23, 26, 30 for how many benefits you can find!

In Romans 8, check verses 32, 33, 34, 37, 39 and highlight what God has done on our behalf in each verse. How do these truths demonstrate how God is “for” us?

4) Understanding God’s love for us through other Biblical books How do Isaiah 41:10, Zephaniah 3:17, Matthew 11:28-30, and Ephesians

2:10 describe God being “for” us? How might these be related to Romans 8:31-34?

Read all of Psalm 27. What fears or struggles did King David say he faced? What did he say gave Him hope, despite these challenges? What does this teach us about God?

5) Our New Life NowOut of all the difficulties listed in Romans 8:35 & 38, which resonate the

most in your life now? How can you see God being “for” you, despite those challenges?

As we pause our Romans Series to enjoy our Summer Series, reflect back on our journey through Romans 1-8. What are the things God has most significantly taught you in Romans 1-8? What lessons have you applied to your life? Thank God for that growth!
