SAE stands for Society of Automotive Engineers.
It is a international society which set standards for automotive parts used around the
world.
SAE INDIA is an important part of SAE INTERNATION.
SAE INDIA holds responsibility to inculcate technical knowledge among students by
conducting educational events like SAE INDIA BAJA with internationally exposure now.
Each region of India has its own SAE Collegiate Clubs at college level affiliated to SAE
INDIA.
Our college is among the few college in northern India to have its SAE COLLEGIATE CLUB
known as SAE GALGOTIAS COLLEGIATE CLUBS.
About SAE INDIA BAJA
BAJA SAE series is an event for the undergraduate engineering students,
organised globally by the Society of Automotive Engineers, USA. The event
originated in the name of Mini-BAJA , in the year 1976 at University of
Caroline.
Since then the event has spread its wing to six countries – USA, Mexico, South
Africa, Korea, Brazil and INDIA.
This year onwards , i.e. 2015, the event has become international and teams from USA, Germany, Brazil will be competing with Indian Teams.
Objective of SAE - BAJA event
The BAJA SAE tasks the students to design, fabricate and validate a single-seater
four-wheeled ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE (ATV) to take part in series of events spread over
a course of 3 days that test the vehicle for the sound engineering practises that have
gone into it, the agility of vehicle in terms of gradeability, acceleration, suspension,
traction and finally, its ability to endure that back breaking durability test.
BAJA SAE INDIA
The BAJA SAEINDIA was introduced in the year 2007 and was
launched under the leadership of Dr. Pawan Goenka (former
President, SAEINDIA) and the convenership of Dr. K. C. Vore. The
event received participation from engineering institutes spread
across the subcontinent, which grew to over 400 teams
registering for the first phase of BAJA SAEINDIA 2014.
Conducted at the scenic and serene acreage granted for the
event by NATRiP, at its upcoming NATRAX facilities located at
Pitampura (60km off Indire), Madhya Pradesh.

College is located at the Greater NOIDA –Delhi Expressway and at the starting
point of Yamuna Expressway.

The event site has 125 Teams, having 25 each team members plus
judges, volunteers. That’s the viewership of 10,000 people easily.

proudly displayed before and after the competition

How we will promote you (your benefits) ? SAE INDIA Gallery :. The gallery of SAE INDIA BAJA is
updated on their website every year.
FACEBOOK Advertisement : The advertisement of the
product/ company will be done of various pages such as Team
Pages, SAE Galgotias Collegiate Club page, College Official
Pages. The likes on the page are close to 2,00,000 altogether.
Sponsorship Standee : A Standee will be put outside the
TEAM PIT during the event, all days.
How we will promote you (your benefits) ? College Level advertisement : At the annual fest, G-
Quasar, the vehicle will be displayed in the Club Tent with
the your standee.
College – Company’s Relation : The sponsorship will
bring the student-industry exposure and relation close.
DUAL BENEFIT PLAN : The advertisement and benefits
are valid for all the events other than these two events. The
club is actively participating in Go-Kart and Solar vehicle
challenges.
Who are we competing with?
Our Team, Team Chassis-Z, will be competing with Indian as well as
International Teams.
Several IITs and NITs including private colleges and universities register for
this event and after a virtual qualification round the teams are reduced to
110 in number (out of 400+ registered teams)
The international teams are the teams who are participating in their
country’s SAE BAJA event since past few year. The organizing committee of
SAE BAJA will invited them.
