Precautions for safe handling

Specific hazards arising from the chemicalClosed containers may explode due to buildup of pressure when exposed to extreme heat. If water is used, fog nozzles arepreferable. Water may be used to cool closed containers to prevent pressure buildups and possible ignition or explosion whenexposed to extreme heat.

Protective equipment and precautions for firefightersAs in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and fullprotective gear.

Advice on safe handling Obtain special instructions before use. Do not handle until all safety precautions have beenread and understood. Use personal protection recommended in Section 8. Wash thoroughlyafter handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Use only inwell-ventilated areas. Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray. Ground containerand transfer equipment to eliminate static electric sparks. Keep away fromheat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. — No smoking. Use non-sparking hand tools andexplosion-proof electrical equipment. Take precautionary measures against staticdischarges.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
