Gold-plated styles are forhigh-heat applications. Model 4178 is a wide, wraparound window that provides40% more protective area than standard 12" windows. Model 4199 has extendedwidth and depth. It has a unique, angled shape that clears the shoulders duringside-to-side head movement. Clear faceshields do not protect against ultraviolet orinfrared rays and should not be used for welding.
