CUTTING REQUIREMENTSPlease read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border and sashing pieces.

Rolie PolieCut 3 squares 2½” x 2½” and 1 rectangle 2” x 3½” from each of the following assorted prints: blue main, gray main, yellow main, blue boat, teal boat, red waves, yellow waves, blue flags, gray flags, yellow flags, white lobster, blue lures, red lures, yellow lures, red circlesCut rectangles 2” x 6½” in the corresponding number from the following assorted prints: 3–blue waves, 4–blue lobster, 4–aqua circles, 4–blue circles

Snow White ShadeCut 3 strips 2” x WOF. Cut the strips into 30 rectangles 2” x 3½”.Cut 3 strips 2½” x WOF. Cut the strips into 45 squares 2½” x 2½”.Cut 4 strips 2½” x WOF. Cut the strips into 4 rectangles 2½” x 30½” for sashing.

QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to quilt photo for placement of fabrics.

Sail Away BlockThese instructions are to make 1 block. Refer to the quilt photo for fabric placement. Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the wrong side of 3 snow white shade 2½” squares. Place the snow white shade 2½” squares on top of 3 assorted print 2½” squares. Sew ¼” on either side of the drawn line. Cut on line to make 2 Half Square Triangles. Press. Trim the half square triangles to 2” square. Repeat to make 6 Half Square Triangles.

Sew a 4 Half Square Triangles together to create Unit A.

Unit A

Sew a snow white shade 2” x 3½” rectangle to the right and left sides of Unit A to create Unit B.

Unit B

Sew a 2 Half Square Triangles and the assorted print 2” x 3½” rectangle together to create Unit C.

Unit C

Sew Unit B, Unit C, and the assorted print 2” x 6½” rectangle together to create the Sail Away Block. Repeat to create 15 Sail Away Blocks.

Sail Away Block

Quilt Center AssemblyRefer to quilt photo for block placement. Sew 5 Sail Away Blocks together to create a column. Repeat to make 3 columns of Sail Away Blocks. See quilt photo for column and sashing placement. Lay out the 3 columns of Sail Away Blocks and the 4 snow white shade 2½” x 30½” sashing rectangles. Sew columns together to complete the center of the quilt.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Side borders should be 30½”. Top and bottom borders should be 38½”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Fly Aweigh Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
