Mass Attendance May 4/5: 319

A Special Send OffSome of you already have heard, Ms Jenifer will be leaving her positon at the end of this month or program year as Director of Religious Education and Adult Faith For-mation at St. Andrew. This is a great loss after 12 years, and we wish her the best. She just wants to quietly depart, but the children, catechists, volunteers, and others that Jenifer has worked with and helped throughout the years would like to thank her in a small way for sharing her gifts and talents, helping them to grow in their faith and/or in providing them with what they need to maintain enthusiasm and interest in their ministry to effectively pass on the Word of God to the children and youth.

After Mass, you will find note paper and cards in the vestibule of the church for you to ex-press your appreciation and well wishes. Next Sunday, May 19th after Masses, there will be cake compliments of the catechists, and your cards/notes will be presented to Jenifer.

Special CollectionDear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,On the weekend of May 18 and 19, 2019, our Diocese will take up a collection for the Cath-

olic Communication Campaign (CCC) and the Catholic University of America (CUA). Through websites, social networks, television, radio, and print, the Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC) helps the Church spread the Gospel message through the media locally and nationally. Half of all donations to the CCC collected in your diocese stay in your diocese to support your local communications needs, such as radio and television program-ming and diocesan publications. This collection also benefits The Catholic University of America, which is the nation-al university of the Catholic Church in the United States. At every level, the university is dedicated to the advancement of learning and particularly to the development of knowledge to discover and impart the truth through excel-lence in teaching and research, all in service to the Church, the nation and the world. For more information on the important work of the Catholic Communication Campaign, please visit www.usccb.org/ccc and for further information on The Catholic University of America visit www.cua.edu.Sincerely yours in Christ, +George Leo Thomas Bishop of Las Vegas
