We, the people of St. Clare Catholic Parish, In the Diocese of Belleville, are called by God
in baptism to be disciples of Jesus Christ. Centered in the Eucharist, and strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we strive to live
the Gospel and further the reign of God. We do this by creating a vibrant faith
community, by actively promoting justice and evangelization, and by using our gifts in the service of God’s people, to give God
glory and reverence all of Creation.
Reverend Michael G. McGovern Bishop of Belleville

Baptism of the Lord – Gifts of the Spirit! I always feel like I can never say THANK YOU enough to all of you who do your part in making St. Clare Parish such a spiritual home of faith and community. As today’s feast officially brings a close to the Christmas Season, I especially want to thank the following who put in extra time this month: + Our liturgical ministers - who help make our liturgies prayerful and welcoming.
+ Cantors and choirs – their extra time bless us greatly.
+ Our Art and Environment Team who do such a wonderful ministry of adding so much beauty to our space with flow-ers, trees, and other arrangements.
+ Our Outreach Ministries – who did a great job organizing our huge “giving tree” ministry of toys and gifts to those in need. And to all of you (!) who donated generously toward this.
+ Christmas ornament helpers – what a beautiful tradition this is.
+ All of you who donated toward the Christmas flowers with memorial donations; we listed all those remembered in our bulletin the last two weeks. We are a parish centered in biblical stewardship in which each is called by the Spirit to give their very best to God in the way we use our time, talents, and financial resources. All of this leads to beautiful worship, a caring community concerned for each other’s needs, and living the Gospel in the wider community. In gratitude, Fr. Jim Deiters
