The choir will begin rehearsals for the fall on Wednesday, September 6 at 7 p.m. I am very concerned about the choir this fall. There are a lot of our regular members who have a lot going on this fall and will not be here to sing on very many Sundays. So I am making this plea -- if you can sing, enjoy good fellowship and want to praise God through singing, please try our choir out. We need mostly sopranos and men to round out our choir, but any voice will be welcome. Yours in Christ, Ruth Brown

After speaking to the director of our local food pantry I was told the pantry is in need of Size 4 or larger dippers along with personal hygiene products such as shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, laundry & dish soap, basic house cleaning supplies, paper towels & toilet paper Remember anything you use in your house they can you in theirs.

Is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. The date for the 2017 dedicated day of service is 9-10-17 Due to Hurricane Harvey that blow in to the Gulf Cost on August 25th and didn’t leave till August 30th St. John will respond as needed to Hurricane Harvey thru the month of September and the months ahead as we are able. Beverly Kolonko wants to say thank you for all the prayers and
concerns about my shoulder surgery. Still in therapy and working
to keep shoulder limber. People have been so helpful and nice in
doing things for me during my recovery. Thank you all.

stage 2 breast cancer & undergoing treatment
Louise Stohr, friend of Beverly & Richard Kolonko, diagnosed
w/non Hoskins Cancer in her stomach. Completed chemo and
waiting to see her doctors to find our if the treatment worked.
