Age 70 ½ or older with an RMD from an IRA? Did you know that federal law allows tax free charitable distributions from your IRA? Charitable taxpayers who are age 70½ or older can direct “qualified charitable distributions” from their fund administrator directly to the charities of their choice, including one’s parish, school, or the parish capital campaign. This distribution may result in tax savings even if you are unable to itemize your deductions. For more information about how you can benefit from an IRA charitable distribution, please contact your IRA administrator or tax preparer.

Reminder: If you have misplaced your pledge card for the capital campaign, there are cards and envelopes available in the vestibule of church for your use. Also, information and forms for the capital campaign are available on the parish website, under “renovation.” Progress reports regarding the renovation project will be updated regularly on the website.

You may stop by the parish office or call 573-455-2320 and Debbie will be happy to reserve a copy for you.

Back to school time means it’s time to send in those Box Tops, Best Choice labels, Tyson chicken A+ labels, ink cartridges, coke and powerade lids/labels from 12 and case packages you’ve collected over the summer. Al-so, with the beginning of September, we start collecting Joe’s Market receipts. All of these items can be sent to school to “Feed the Frog” or deposited into the drawer in back of church labeled “Box Tops.” Each item adds up to money used to purchase various items throughout the school year for YOUR school. Your support is greatly appreciated!
