As a God fearing Saint Lucian I am nauseated at the alarming rate of vehicular accidents on the Saint Lucia highways. Are you the next victim? What can be done to protect our citizens?.
Friends, countrymen lend me your ear… Reckless driving in Saint Lucia is becoming the Norm. If we as a people do not take a stand now when you hear the bells toil asked not who does it toil for (It toils for you)
We must demand from the powers at be to pass laws that would punished reckless drivers ,and those that drive under the influence. You can request that they pass the John Dorman Doctrine now……………………………

The John Dorman Doctrine…………………….(1)(a) Any person who drives any vehicle in a willful or wanton disregard for the safety of
persons or property is guilty of reckless driving. Upon a first conviction, by imprisonment for a period of not more than 1 year or by fine of
not less than $5000 nor more than $10,000 or by both such fine and imprisonment. (b) On a second or subsequent conviction, by imprisonment for not more than 10 years
or by a fine of not less than $10,000 nor more than $20,000, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
(3) Any person:
(b) Who operates a vehicle; and (c) Who, by reason of such operation, causes:
1. Damage to the property or person of another commits a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided
2. Serious bodily injury to another commits a felony of the third degree, The term "serious bodily injury" means an injury to another person, which consists of a physical condition that creates a substantial risk of death, serious personal disfigurement, or
protracted loss or impairment of the function of any bodily member or organ. Shall be imprison for a period of nor less than 25 years an fine $50,000.

The driver of this vehicle was deported from a foreign country for the same behaviour that claimed the lives of 3 young Saint Lucians this night. His mission this night was
transporting ladies of the night to his night club as alleged by the on-lookers. This night the Devil prevailed none of the occupants in this vehicle were killed. How Ironic!
