Objectives for Tonight
• Meet with interested community members to inform our neighbors of Health Ministry’s desire to activate the Hospital sub-district for further planning and eventual development of West Parcels.
• Share the Specific Plan Zoning application and confirm alignment with UDO.

• Internal Team was assembled– Understanding the intent of the Harding Town Center UDO– Obligation to figure out how to align our goals with the UDO
• February 23, 2004- Commenced neighborhood planning process for Harding Town Center UDO
• April, 2004- Transportation alternatives presented to community• June, 2004- Draft of UDO and Transportation Plan presented for public comment.• October, 2004- Final draft of the UDO and Transportation Plan presented to the
public.• February 10, 2005- Planning Commission recommend approval of UDO• May 17, 2005- Ordinance approving UDO passes third reading of Metro Council• May 21, 2005- Effective date of UDO
• Reviewed opportunities to improve way finding and access to the Saint Thomas West Hospital Campus
• Started in 2011 with a presentation on campus access opportunities• Revisited ideas of how to move visitor traffic to back of campus
establishing a new front door• Preliminary design of new entrance at patient discharge• Signage package for Bosley Springs and Emergency Entrance evaluated
with landscape improvements
• Confirmed interest for growth of Saint Thomas West Campus with University of Tennessee
• Team worked to put together SP Zoning Request to allow growth in a sensitive and planned manner – desire to mix uses
