The faculty, staff and administra on of St. Victor School would like to thank the St. Victor Community for their support of the Open House and of Na onal Catholic Schools Week. The Open House that we held on Sunday, January 31 was extremely busy. Parent leaders and Student Council members gave tours to interested families. The teachers and classrooms shone with pride as current and prospec ve families visited the classrooms. We would appreciate your con nued prayers for a healthy enrollment. St. Victor School is blessed to have such suppor ve families. Masquerade Auc on Gala Please join us on Saturday, February 27 for St. Victor School 2nd annual dinner and auc on. For reserva on informa on, please contact Ressie Sanchez at [email protected] or pick up a cket order form at the church doors.

JESUS AND THE DEVIL The devil tempted Jesus by quo ng scripture, as today’s Gospel reminds us. Try a self-serving miracle. Try selling out. Try dazzling the audience; people are gullible, a er all. Try all these easy ways. The tempter tries to urge Jesus onto the slippery slope, a empts the old so -soap, the snake-oil solu ons that are always readily at hand. The devil knows be er, but is powerless to do be er, much less be be er. The devil is evil personified, who senses in Jesus the stronger, truly a rac ve presence of holiness. Evil is exposed and engaged, we are reminded in this Sunday’s Gospel. Evil knows the jig is up. The undoing of lies begins with Jesus, who takes up the work of soul-healing and world-healing. This Lent, the Church invites us to enter into this renewing, re-crea ve work and be made whole again. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
