11 Cents: Formed.org

At Christmas we gave the book, Rediscover Jesus
as a Christmas gift to everyone that came to Mass.
We hoped this book would bring about conversion
for Christians away from their faith, and enrich the
faith of those who are already devout. We received
good feedback and hope that the Holy Spirit has
moved through those books.
This Easter, we gave out another gift. Archbishop
Chaput subsidized parish’s subscription to
www.formed.org, because he believed in it’s
content and mission.
Formed.org can be accessed on your comput-
er, tablet, or smartphone, and it has content for dif-
ferent demographics, even children. The site has
four main tabs: Programs, Movies, Audios, Books.
The Program tab has many video based programs
like, God and Science and Mary and the Bible.
Many with multiple sessions, like small classes to
grow in knowledge of that topic. I strongly recom-
mend the Catholicism series by Robert Barron.
The Movies tab has 17 full length movies, mostly
about the lives of Saints. I recommend the Padre
Pio: Miracle Man film. These movies, like all of the
content, will update and change over time.
The Audios tab has audio talks of top Catholic
speakers on a wide variety of topics that you can
listen to as you do housework or in your car .
Finally, the Books tab is a page full of Ebooks that
you can download right onto your Kindle or into
iBooks on any Apple device. I very strongly recom-
mend Because God is Real by Peter Kreeft.
To access all of this great material go to
www.formed.org, and in the box that says “Does
Your Parish Already Have Formed?” enter the
code: V7RD4D.

Funeral Server Ministry
Saints Peter and Paul is inviting parishioners to con-sider participating in a new ministry which is open to adults who are available in the morning during the week. Funeral Servers set up for the liturgy and as-sist the priest during the funeral mass. Interested adults may contact Michele Marinelli at 610.692.2216.ext. 264.
Ushers Ministry
Worship is looking for a volunteers to fill out the ranks of our Ushers Ministry. We could use some help at all the Masses but most especially at the 11:30 Sunday Mass. Among their duties, our ushers help seat and guide parishioners before Masses, take up collections, and direct and assist the assem-bly during Holy Communion. If you are looking for a way to get involved at SSPP please contact Bruce Carlson at 610-692-2216 ext. 265 or send an email to [email protected].
