Overview The User Group Program connects salesforce.com customers with the goal of networking, sharing ideas, and gaining tips to be more successful using the product/platform. Each User Group is run by a customer or sometimes a Partner volunteer and salesforce.com acts as a liaison to enable the leader to have the resources necessary to run a successful group. The purview of the User Group Program is to provide an environment of like-minded individuals willing to collaborate on and gain an increased knowledge and understanding of the salesforce.com ecosystem to aid them in their personal and professional education. A User Group is a network of other Salesforce Community members that come together to share ideas, best practices, successes and collaborate on their use of Salesforce. If you are a seasoned User Group Leader or interested in starting one, or just looking to attend these are our Terms and Conditions for belonging to a User Group.

Each User Group is run by a customer or sometimes a Partner volunteer and salesforce.com acts as a liaison to enable the leader to have the resources necessary to run a successful group. User Group Leader Responsibilities

User Group Meeting Overview

The User Group leader is responsible for preparing an agenda for each meeting and determining a meeting location. Meeting agendas can include the following (but not limited to):

Joining and Starting a New Group

In order to join a group you must navigate to the User Group page of success.salesforce.com and enter your details selecting from the list of existing User Groups. You can then navigate to the desired User Group page and see when that User Group will be holding their next event. Do not be afraid to jump into the conversation with your group to get to know people in advance. The User Group leaders will post their event schedules and agenda in this location so you should be able to see at a glance when the next User Group event is taking place.

If you cannot find a group in your city, or near to you, and you would like to get a group started please contact the User Group Program Team with the user group city and contact details of the person wishing to lead a new User Group. The Advocacy Program team will then contact this individual and walk through the steps needed to get them started as a new User Group Leader.

Getting the Most Out of Your Group

It takes active involvement to get the most out of your User Group. Good communication with the User Group leader will ensure that your needs are met and you get the most out of the User Group events you participate in. User Group members can expect a wide range of agenda formats and content in their respective User Group, including but not limited to guest presenters from the salesforce.com community and partner program, hands-on sessions, specific training, salesforce.com release walk-throughs, networking opportunities and maybe even online webinars. If you have suggestions for a specific presenter or topic please submit your request to the User Group leader. If you have concerns about the format or content of the User Group again please feel free to approach the User Group leader or to contact the Advocacy Program team.

The Fine Print

Salesforce.com reserves the right to refuse the voluntary self-nomination of any User Group leader and to revoke a User Group leaders status at anytime and disband a User Group. Salesforce.com also reserves the right to request that a member of the User Group community not attend a User Group event for behavior unbecoming a member of the salesforce.com Community. Acceptance of the User Group leader designation constitutes permission for salesforce.com and its agencies to use the User Group leaders names and/or likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By participating in the User Group program, each User Group leader and member agrees to release, indemnify, defend and hold salesforce.com and its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, sponsors and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, and assigns, and any other organizations related to the User Group program, harmless from any and all claims, injuries, damages, expenses or losses to person or property and/or liabilities of any nature that in any way arise from participation in the User Group program including without limitation (i) any condition caused by events beyond salesforce.com’s control that may cause the User Group program to be disrupted or corrupted; and (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the User Group leader designation or from participation in the User Group program. Any action, suit or case arising out of, or in connection with, the User Group program must be brought in either the federal courts located in the Northern district of California or the state
