earnings. Major crops- Rice, Wheat, Jute,

Cotton, Pulses etc.

The agricultural sectors continues to be the backbone of the country. The important of agriculture can be measured by the share of agriculture in the national income & employment sector. In India about 70% of the total population earns his livelihood from agriculture. It still form the hub of India’s economy. Still few factors create major problems in the agricultural system of India and complete mechanisation is yet to be achieve. Different govt. policies are on the road to improve this factor.
