Salmon live in "the action" Salmon was born in

freshwater,but the

fish only lived a short time in this

environment and then

swim out to sea.

Salmon migrate for two

reasons: food sources and breeding sites .

The river upstream migration to spawning ground occurs only once in the lifetime of most Salmon

As to reproductive age,salmon migration to

the spawning grounds .

River upstream journey can take several months.

They lost 40% body weight at spawning time and fertilized. Most of them died later.

Fish are moving in direction by the scent.

As they move

through the ocean or return rivers on spawning, the fish will find its way to a whole instinct for the familiar taste as close as became apparent

In the west coast of North America, each year in the spring, more than half a billion young salmon from the Pacific began to

journey 3,000 miles to return to spawn in the rivers where they were born.

Going into the land, they not only provide food for millions of animals, which children

bring life for the richest land on earth.

salmon from the Pacific's British Columbia this is one of the most fertile lands on the planet.

For thousands of years, salmon have returned to this country, because here is an extremely important factors: freshwater .Their eggs can only survive in fresh water.

British Columbia area is one of the purest source of freshwater in the world depend on the temperate rain forests.

After two months of diving over the open sea swim, fish arrived in the coast.

They can distinguish every drop of water from the river back home in the millions of

liters of seawater. When they get past the water, they gather in the small bay

At the major rivers, including five species of

Pacific salmon are present: Red salmon , dog salmon , silver salmon and Chinook salmon

Last July, water levels drop too low,made salmon swimming upstream journey very difficult.

Every year at the coast has many large

storms that occur, annual rainfall in this region up to 3 meters so salmon begin to swim upstream journey.

When in fresh water, they must stop eating

and eventually it just stopped drink so only the stored energy in the body to relay for them to swim upstream and spawn

6 million years of evolution helped salmon have what necessary, for example a salmon pass waterfalls like we jump across a 4-

storey building. The farthest distance that the salmon to swim upstream is 2000 miles.

Salmon may now be stuck in the waters dry.And worse, they are in bear territory.
