On 8th November, 2016, the Honourable Prime Minster of India Shri Narendra Modi took an unexpected but a very important step for the country and declared that the currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 would not be considered as legal tenders anymore.

This step of Demonetisation was taken to curb the demon of terrorism that has been feeding on the black money and fake currency notes which has been destroying the economy of India.

Since the proportion of the currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 was as high as 85%, the resultant chaos due to their demonetisation was doubtlessly obvious. All of us had to bear the pain of queuing up for long hours.

However, the Governmnet has started an initiative of Cashless Transaction to lessen the gravity of this problem.

We, at Samarth Diamond have always hailed any new technology. We also put in efforts so that the advantages of any

new technology are available to us. Now we have to learn various ways

of Cashless Transaction in our daily transactions also. The economy of India would definitely gain long term advantages from Cashless Transactions

and it would become transparent too.

One’s account with the bank, the mobile number registered

with the bank and the Aadhar Number would be the basis of any Cashless Transaction.

Even if we have a very simple phone with no

substantial features in it, by dialling *99# we can not only

know our balance but also do cash transactions. Such functions become easier with the help of Mobile Banking and Unified Payment Interface (UPI).

At present, the usage of Mobile Wallets like Paytm and Mobikwik has been increasing rapidly especially for small cash transactions.

It is only in the very interest of our country and also that of ours if we learn, update and walk with the times.

- Samarth Management

This new year, let’s learn to go cashless!

Ways of Cashless Transactions

By dialling *99#, one can know about his balance and do small cash transactions also even with the help of a simple phone.

ATM/Debit Cards are very useful and convenient for payments, apart from withdrawing money from ATM.

If you learn how to use the Internet or Mobile Banking, you simply complete many tasks without visiting the bank.

Mobile Wallets are very convenient for small transactions.

With the help of the facility of UPI, one can transfer money to any other account with the help of a mobile.

Aadhar based Payment System will soon become a way of paying at shops with help of a Aadhar number only.

Let’s define this term 'Devotion' first.Devotion means continuous efforts to achieve

the determined goals by focusing on them. The meaning of Devotion is that one has to follow a particular process dedicatedly in order to maintain its constistency.

Let’s undrestand the aspects of Devotiongradually.

Definite Goal: All our activities in our professional lives are aimed at some goal(s). The more clear and determined the goal is, the more clear and determined are going to be the activities to achieve that goal. This means that the one who wants to lead a devoted life has to determine his goal.

At Samarth Diamond, we have a goal of reaching the target of 20,000 happy families by the year 2020 and all our activities are aimed at achieving this goal only.

We must be focused on our goals.Definite Process: Both the goal and the new

process to achieve that goal shape up together. Normally, we stick to that new process initially but with the passage of time, it is seen that we somehow fall back to our old methods. Normally, people have a vigorous zeal to start any new process but the same zeal at the outset loses its feel as the process goes on.

One’s laziness, the internal battle to accept the new process and obstinacy to stick to the old habits gradually defocus us in our endeavours to achieve the determined goals.

Consitstency (continuous reminding of one’s goal and the efforts to achieve it) : While leading one’s life or being busy with one’s profession or in one’s job, a devoted person should keep two things in mind; his goal and the process to achieve it.

New habits have to be formed to keep them in memory which we will look into in the coming ‘SAMARTH SETU’. One will have to create a structure which has the support of technology and friends to retain these goals in your memory.

For example, it is important to set an alarm in your watch of 4 o’ clock in the morning or to request the early risers to wake you up.

Somebody asked Edison, the inventor of Bulb, “You tried as many as 99 methods to invent bulb but in vain. What did you learn from it?” Edison replied, “I learnt that the 99 methods that I applied would not invent bulb. However, I would try and apply even newer methods but would definitely invent a bulb at any cost.”

Dedication: Unless you are fully dedicated, you don’t cultivate the tendency to try all the possibilities.

The slogans that the leaders used to pronounce at the time of independence expressed supreme dedication viz. “Karenge ya marenge” One of slogans of Subhaschandra Bose still has a deep imprint on our minds: “Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe aazadi dunga!” Gandhiji also said, “I will die the death of a crow or a dog but will not return to the ashram without achieving Swaraj.”

Both Japan and India got freedom almost simultaneously but due to the dedication of its people, Japan is right on top in the list of the most developed nations of the world.

When we use the word dedication in terms of one’s job or profession, it means one’s being dutyful to his job or profession. It also means one’s being responsible to the work entrusted to one. In other words, one strives hard to achieve the goal set by his institution and to live determinedly for the same.

One’s devotion encourages one to aske questions such as: “Why can’t I accomplish this work?” What new methods can I apply to accomplish this work?

A genuinely devoted or dedicated person valued his words the most. Once he takes up a responsibility, he does act keeping his goal in mind. May all of us live dedicated and devoted lives!

- Suresh Patel

Those who work devotedly seem to be living with a ‘Never say die’ spirit. Great goals cannot be achieved without the fuel of devotion. It opens the doors of all the possibilities.

Devotion: Continuous efforts for achieving goal

Today we shall talk about the second step to the creation of wealth: ‘Regular savings is the key to the door of wealth.’

Many people believe that one can become rich only with the support of higher studies, the cooperation of one’s family and the society and his own skills. Friends, it is good if all these factors are favourable to you but what is actually the most important factor to create wealth is your regularity. In fact, it is important in all the spheres of one’s life. For e.g. If one takes exercise regularly for a long time, the wealth that he would create is sound health.

Let’s talk about a true story to understand the value of regularity in creation of wealth.

Oseola McCarty, an Afro-American lady lived in America. She was a washerwoman in the laundry of a contractor. She was about 40 years of age. She used to go to her workplace with many women like her. However, she was different from other ladies in one aspect. She cultivated a habit to

deposit 10 dollars a day with the bank on way to her residence. She would do this while returning to her residence daily.

McCarty maintained this habit for the next 32 long years. On the last day of her job, she went to the bank as usual and said to the clerk, “These are the last ten dollars that I am deposting today.” To this, the clerk informed her that she had

saved as many as 2,00,000 dollars in her account by then!

What is the key to the door of wealth? Regularity!

McCarty didn’t withdraw the entire amount from her account. She retained one lakh dollars in the account and with the remaining dollars, opened a trust to give scholarships to needy students.

Regular Savings: The key to the door of wealthThe proverb ‘Slow and steady wins the race’ turns out to be so true in the matter of creating wealth.Read the touching story asto how an American lady fulfilled and personified our proverb.

Nine years after this incident, McCarty was diagnosed with Cancer. An expert doctor was summoned to California and she was operated upon successfully. When the doctor went to meet her, she said with her hands folded, “Doctor, I am simply incapable to express my gratitude. All that I can do is that I can give you all that I have at present. “

To this, the doctor holing her hands, replied in tears, “Madam, you don’t seem to remember that I am the student who had studied with the help of the scholarship provided by your trust. But for the money provided by your trust, I would not have been a doctor today." Expressing his gratitude to her, the doctor said he couln’t have asked for anythig more than that and further suggested to her that if she really wanted to give him anything, it would be her blessings!

Oseola McCarty

If you save regularly and for a long time, 1. wealth can be created. More sustenance rather than more return 2. would make the creation of wealth easier. Self-control is necessary to make sure that 3. you don’t withdraw any amout before its destined maturity.

Let’s understand the value of regular savings from the given table and start saving.

What does this story teache us?

Daily Saving

Tenure Sum on maturity

Rs. 1 25 Year 39,486

Rs. 10 25 Year 3,94,860

Rs. 100 25 Year 39,48,600

Rs. 1000 25 Year 3,94,86,000

Noble drive of cloth distribution

All of us work with a view to spreding happiness and as a part of it, we did the activity of distributing clothes on the occasion of Diwali.

It has been our experience that the clothes of our family members lie in useless condition once they become even slightly older. These clothes can be useful to the needy families of the society.

With this noble cause in mind, all the employees of Samarth Diamond decided to start a drive of distributing clothes with a view to spreading happiness among the needy families of the other classes of the society during the festive days of Diwali.

Accordingly, the notices about the Clothes Distribution Drive were put up on various noticeboards since the beginning of October and an appeal was made to donate

the clothes of the family members which were ‘no more in use’. Along with this, collection boxes were placed in each of the units.

The appeal received a warm response from one and all. The boxes became full with various kinds of clothes and the clothes were classified into three categories viz. Ladies, Gents and Children.

Subsequently, the HR team of Samarth itself visited various places on the 2oth, 21st and 23rd October, 2016 and distributed the clothes among the people of these places. The expressions of happiness and satisfaction on the faces of the people at the time of receiving these clothes were indescribable in words. We express our earnest gratitude for your kind cooperation and enthusiasm to make this noble cause successful.

The seven spiritual lawsGlobally renowned writer Dr. Deepak Chopra has listed in his book the laws of true success in life. Shri Bonibhai M. Patel from RMS Department explaines them in simple language.

Today, I would like to try and explain ‘The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success’ published by Dr. Dipak Chopra which can be extremely useful to make one’s life successful.

The first law of success is the basic law of pure strength which describes that our real self is the pure basic power and it is the pure consciousness. The study of this particular law would enable you to converse with mother nature. You can generate happiness and love. Try to remain calm for some time in a day to exprience the efficacy of this law, relate to your self, study to be indecisive, experience the magic hidden in mother nature.

The second rule is the rule of exchange. The writer says when you meet someone, offer him/her something (be it a wish, a thing or even a prayer). Similarly when you achieve something in life, accept it with the feeling of gratitude. If you do so, not only yours but also the life attached to you will be full of joy.

The third rule of success is the rule of Karma means choosing any work consciously. To experience this law, live in the present and ask yourself a couple of questions at the time of making any choice: 1) What will be the result of the choice you have made? 2) Will this choice bring happiness for you

and your fellows? If you strongly feel that it

will bring happiness, go ahead and make your choice, or stop and think.

The fourth law of success, is the law of little effort. Everything goes on incessantly with very little effort in nature. Similarly, there is just an easy and natural way to feel satisfaction in life and to experience it, accept at this very moment the people around you, circumstances and incidents as they are. Accept the responsibility of your condition. Don’t blame anything or anybody. Every problem has an opportunity to solve it, just focus on it.

The fifth law of success means the law of intention and willingness. When our intentions and willingness are placed in the zone of our pure basic power and if the consciousness of the ongoing and fleeting moment is placed in all our work, every task would be successfull with strong determination and will.

The sixth law of success is the law of steadfast intellect. If you want to achieve anything in this world, give up the very love or attachment to it. Be alert to identify the opportunity hidden in evey problem. Be open-hearted for evey possibility and enjoy every moment of the journey

of life. The seventh and the last

law of success is the law of Purpose which explains that all of us are souls which are born to serve a specific purpose. Ask yourself: “How can I be useful to anyone?”

If you can implement the answer to this question, you would experience extreme ecstacy and that is what is the best or supreme goal of life.

In this way, Dr. Dipak Chopra has, in this book, explained seven wonderful and spiritual laws of success.

Inspired by the seminars and training at Samarth Diamond, I had an opportunity to prove myself in my life

The pride of our family

I have been associated with Samarth Diamond for the last three years. I am proud of Samarth Diamond. It keeps providing me with opportunities to prove myself in my life. The regularly conducted seminars and training programs give birth to a different kind of happiness withing myself. I try to spread this happiness among other people also. I am trying to make my village the best village of Gujarat. I have started putting efforts in this direction from my street itself.

I went to each house of my street and informed them about the advantages that a family can avail from the Government's ‘Maa Amrutam Yojana’. I helped the families get the scheme card. I also informed them about the

‘Pradhanmantri Vima Yojana’ under which they can avail insurance at a very nominal premium of Rs. 12/- and Rs.330/-.

Keeping the aspect of the health of the people in mind, I moved to every house in the village with the support

of Samarth Diamond, prepared and shared healthy and hygienic drink with all.

I feel happy by serving the people. I have been inspired to do all these noble deeds by the seminars and training programs. Many of you must be involved in such kind of social work. If so, please inform Mr. Alpeshbhai Prajapati on Extention No: 1063 for Samarth Setu.
