Samer Kurdi Manifesto Our mission as students of the University of Cambridge is to “contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning, and research at the highest international levels of excellence” Together with you, I would like to carry out this mission by making a difference and by making sure that the student body has a voice. How will I make this difference? I am a Canadian citizen and I have lived in five countries and I speak three languages. I have connected with many students through tutoring roles, starting think tank groups and by playing competitive basketball (currently on the University Blues team). There are many things that we take for granted at the University like how people are nominated to the important committees or as managers for the funds held across the different departments. I will help make sure that the right people are nominated and given these tasks. In addition, I will give consultation on how Faculties and Departments may be governed in the future.
