INSTRUCTIONS : o Model the conversa>on for your students. Have them repeat aFer you several >mes un>l they are fairly comfortable with the pronuncia>on. o Once they are comfortable, have them prac>ce with their partner. As they are prac>cing, you can circulate, listen to groups, and model correct pronuncia>on. o Vary the partner prac>ce by seKng students up in two lines, face to face, and having them switch partners, as one group moves down the line. (You may also use inner/ outer circles for this.) o Call on a group or two to perform the conversa>on for the class. o Guide students through the ac>vi>es in the Student Ac,vity Book, including the oral prac>ce, pair work presenta>on, listening prac>ce, vocabulary prac>ce, and wri>ng prac>ce. o Supplement these ac>vi>es with the charades game in the Teacher’s Guide and the mixer ac>vity. For the mixer, give each student a card and allow them to circulate and talk to as many of their classmates as they can, using the informa>on on the card. o When students are ready, have them perform their memorized conversa>ons for the class. A rubric is provided. o Finally, evaluate the students using the listening comprehension quiz and/or the wriUen quiz.
