3. Select “Accounts and sync”

1. While at Home Screen, press “Menu” button on phone.

2. Select “Settings”

4. Select “Add Account”

5. Select “Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync”

(Note: some phones may have “Corporate Sync” or “ActiveSync”)

6. Enter information in the fields as follows:

Enter your JMU Exchange e-mail address in the first field. Enter your e-ID password in the second field

7. Select “Next”

8. If you are presented with a security warning involving a security certificate, click to “View” the certificate

9. If the certificate is issued to www.jmu.edu or exchange.jmu.edu and is issued by InCommon Server CA, then click “OK”

10. Click “Continue”

10. The following configuration window will appear:

You can modify these options to suit your needs.

11. If you wish to prevent integration of text messaging with your Exchange e-mail, uncheck “Sync SMS”

12. Click “Next”

Note: You can return to the above configuration screen by going to: Home ScreenSettingsAccounts and SyncYour Exchange E-mailSettingsYour Exchange e-mail account (“JMU”)

13. Name account and click “Done”

9. Your Exchange Email, Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks should now be available and synced with JMU’s Exchange server.

(Initial synchronization may take up to 30 minutes).
