Samsung TS-3 Series combines whiteboard simplicity with robust computer features for full e-classroom functionalityThe TS-3 Series is Samsung’s new visual display monitor that brings innovation to the classroom with an extended, 32-inch to 82-inch touchscreen, a wide visible viewing angle with low glare and a slim design that maximizes classroom space. It also has powerful presentation and interactivity features such as:

Samsung TS-3 Series supports today’s digitally integrated classrooms with exploration, sharing, presentation and col-laboration that includes the following capabilities.

• Multitasking. Teachers can run multiple programs, such as Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentations, videos and Adobe® Flash® movies on the screen at the same time. No time lag occurs when transferring from one program to another, so the lesson runs seamlessly.

• Reviewofpastlectures. Class materials and lectures can be posted onto the school website just as they were presented during the course. Students can then download the materials and lectures for review.

• Seamlesssharing. When the content is too large for display on a single screen, the presenter can use the Samsung TS-3 Series content sharing feature to drag the content from one display to another (in the same room).

• Easycontentporting. The My Content feature enables students to transport all of their digital information without having to carry a laptop. With the Password/ID feature, students can access personal data storage without encountering any firewall issues.

• Environment-friendly,cost-effectiveequipmentoperation. A 63-inch plasma model consumes a maxi-mum of about 560 to 750 W. By comparison, a larger 65-inch LCD model consumes only 430 W. In addition, LCD whiteboards are thin, so they occupy less class-room space than conventional blackboards.

Powerful software promotes maximized learningMagicIMSTM (Interactive Management Solution) provides simple, direct access to:

• e-books• CDs• Videos and animations• Images• Microsoft PowerPoint presentations• Internet content

The software package includes a content library with clip art, background themes and icons. With the Samsung TS-3 Series and MagicIMS™ (Interactive Management Solution), teaching staff can:

• Easily move content around on the display• Run multiple programs on the screen simultaneously,

with seamless, delay-free switching between programs• Draw and make on-screen notes while Microsoft

PowerPoint files, video, images and animation for the Adobe Flash program are displayed and save the drawn images for later review

• Drag files onto the desktop display for ready access• Post lectures on the school homepage so that students

can download and review them after class

Improved classroom managementThe software allows the magnification, concealment and highlighting of information on the screen. The display can easily switch from whiteboard mode to Microsoft Windows desktop viewing mode.

The classroom management software provides a digitized learning environment in which teachers can share their desktop on the students’ screens and students can import files to the e-board.

Teachers can control the students’ computers, monitor their screens and block unnecessary programs or websites during class for greater focus.

TS-3 Series software also eliminates advertisements that displayed in previous Microsoft Windows versions for improved student concentration on the course content.

An optional SIM PC provides customization of course content Customize the content of any class with the optional SIM feature. Run content from a PC quickly and easily by simply sliding the PC in and out of the display without having to dismantle the unit from the wall.

Present engaging lectures with greater ease and accuracy on the versatile touchscreen Samsung TS-3 Series touchscreen technology provides touch reliability when highlighting, drawing or note-taking on the display. The screen is expanded with black edges to facilitate easy reach of icons and menus in the corners.

A touch pen enables instructors to draw and highlight items on the screen in colorful lines of standard or bold width. It features a convenient grip on the glass to reduce slippage and prevent scratching of the glass display surface.

Display and port content with added flexibility.

Bonus features offer additional flexibilityTwo additional features, content sharing and My Content, provide teachers with added flexibility for displaying and porting content.

• Contentsharing. This feature enables users to click and drag a document from one Samsung TS-3 Series screen to another (in the same room). This feature is useful when the content is too big to fit on a single display screen.

• MyContent. This simple solution enables users to transport all of their digital information without the need to carry a laptop. With a standard radio frequency identification (RFID) card or password and ID, users can access personal data storage through the Samsung TS-3 Series without handling firewall issues.
