ESU dewatering screens are used to reduce the moisture content of theproduct.
Water and very fine material will pass the screening surface in the feed end
of wet screen.
Material larger than the aperture of the screening surface will create a filterbed above the screening media. It will retain most of the fine particles on thescreen media. Water will pass through the filter bed and through the screenmedia.

Surface water above the filter bed will discharge through the dewatering backwall.
The screening surface is slightly inclined. This allows the solids to dischargefrom the screen without excess water and the water will flow in the oppositedirection.

The remaining screening length helps to dewater the filter bed further, as thematerial is transported over the incline of the screen. A dam at the end of the screening area can help to reduce the moisture
content by increasing the bed depth and this increase the pessure furtherhelps the dewatering effect.
Note: - Ratio solids [m) / water [m] approx. 1:1- Very fine material is difficult to dewater on a dewatering screen because it doesnt create
a filter bed.- The remaining moisture content depends on grading of the solids.
