What’s Happening in 2/3 This term in English year 2 are studying the text “Bugalugs Bum Thief” by Tim Winton. In this text we are focusing on how the author uses words to help build up the complication of the story. We are identifying different types of sentences within the story and discussing how this helps provide the reader with different images. In mathematics year 2 have just completed the investigation titled “Show Time”. In this investigation the class focused on such concepts as addition facts, mental strategies for addition, subtraction facts, mental strategies for subtraction, money and time. In the investigation students were given a show guide where they were required to make choices such as the food they wish to purchase, rides they want to go on and buying show bags; all with a budget of $60.00. All students had a great time and many budgets were exceeded and needed to be reviewed.

Sportsperson of the Week Declan Adams - great participation in basketball.
