SPAN ISH SU I TE

Formerly the private home of the late Frederick Clift, the hotel’s original owner in 1913, Spanish Suite now serves as an elegant private function room with over 2300 square feet of space, including an outdoor terrace with stunning views of San Francisco. Many period details remain, including rich wood-paneled walls, two enormous crystal chandeliers and a fireplace. The classically chic custom furnishings, rich velvet drapes, lushly landscaped terraces and panoramic city views make Spanish Suite at The Clift the ideal alternative to the typical conference room, and perfect for a wide variety of private functions including weddings, meetings and special events.

R I TA & AVA

Located on the mezzanine level, Rita and Ava feature dramatic white velvet curtains, etched Venetian mirrors and Philippe Starck’s modern interpretation of classic banquet furniture. The Rita Room offers 1288 square feet of space and the Ava Room offers 624 square feet of space – they can be combined for a total of 1912 square feet.

REDWOOD ROOM

Clift’s famous and historic Redwood Room has been restored and reinvented as an exceptionally elegant and modern San Francisco bar. Suffused with all-out glamour, the interior features an enormous etched glass bar and the original redwood paneling, which, legend has, was carved from a single redwood tree, as well as Starck-designed lounge furniture and an ever-changing array of digital artwork displayed on plasma television screens hung throughout the room.

SOPH IA

The third of The Clift’s three meeting rooms on the mezzanine level, the Sophia Room, sitting at 950 square feet, is an ideal alternative to the typically staid conference room, featuring stylish, modern furniture in a design by Philippe Starck.

VELVET ROOM

Designed to complement the legendary Redwood Room, Velvet Room at The Clift is a unique venue for corporate meetings and select nightlife events. The elegant and dramatic room, complemented by lush velvet curtains and hand blown Murano glass lamps is perfect for an eclectic roster of events.
