PARISH BEREAVEMENT GROUP Grief is a journey, one that is endured better when shared. God is with us in that journey and we can be the face of God to each other. With this in mind, our parish is presenting a 5-session class for those who have lost a loved one, be it re-cent or years ago. The class will be held on Tuesdays, beginning April 5 and ending on May 3, from 1- 3 p.m.
We will provide a safe and confidential setting in which information about the process of grief is shared, as well as elements of healing. The group will share experiences, prayer, and rituals. Gloria Brown and Judy Rossman, Stephen Minis-ters, lead the group. Registra-tion is required and attendance at each session is requested. Call Judy at 825-9611, x104 for more information and registra-tion.

A REFLECTION FOR TEENS Are you a doubting Thomas?
Thomas today doubts the resurrection of Jesus until he can see and touch the wounds on his wrists and side. Jesus however does not rebuke him, he gives him mercy and allows him to see and touch his wounds, allowing him to enter into a close intimacy with Jesus.
He further says, blessed are those who have not seen and have believed. This statement should say something to each one of us sitting here today. We each believe but have not seen, it is this blind faith that brings us into close intimacy with Jesus.
Sometimes when we question; we doubt, just like Thomas. But remember that no matter how many questions or how much doubt you have God’s Mercy is much more! Take comfort that God can handle any questions, any doubts, any frustrations, any anger. His mercy endures all things and is always available to each of us.
Begins with 5 PM Mass, then to the Parish Hall
until 8 PM.

Life Night to follow
Sun. May 1 Life Night (Last Day)
AN EVENING OF STUDY ABOUT THE TRIDUUM On Palm Sunday, a very special Life Night was planned for our teens. We wanted them to get a better understanding of Holy Week, in a very unique way.
We began with a review of the readings for Palm Sunday, and then we focused on the Triduum, as a three-day period of prayer. During these three days we are reminded of Jesus’s love for us.
We began with an explanation of Holy Thursday and the Seder meal, the Last Supper
of our Lord. Instead of foot washing we washed each others hands to show being of
service to others.
Then we saw a beautiful music video, Watch the Lamb. The man in the video portrayed Simon Peter, and was based on John 21:15-17. It made for a great reflection, to see what it might have been like when Jesus died on Good Friday. After the video we each took
time to venerate the cross in a personal and prayerful way.
We then proceeded to “the tomb” where Jesus was placed after he died. During this waiting time we prayed and reflected on scripture verses, asked questions, and read quotes from Pope Benedict XVI .
The teens had an opportunity to journal their thoughts.
Our night ended with an Easter Celebration. Hallelujah! Christ is Risen!
Even though this Life Night took place a couple of weeks ago, it was such a wonderful and spiritual night for all that I just had to share it with you!

TUCSON REFUGEE MINISTRY VOLUNTEER INFORMATION MEETING THURSDAY, APRIL 14 1-4 PM PARISH HALL There is a unique opportunity right now to welcome strangers and to make a difference, not just far away, but right here at home. Tucson welcomes nearly 1000 new refugees every year. What is the Church of Tucson doing about it? How can Christian believers "welcome strangers” to our city and even into our homes? What’s the difference between a refugee and an undocumented immigrant or asylum seeker? How can we be sure that these refugees are not actually terrorists trying to infiltrate our country? How might the Bible inform our thinking about this situation?
Tucson Refugee Ministry has some answers, and we are committed to building a bridge between the Church and the nations at our doorstep.
A commitment to volunteer is not necessary. If interested in attending, please RSVP to Judy Lynch at [email protected] or 825-3013.
PRAYER SHAWL RAFFLE WINNERS We are happy to announce the winners of the Prayer Shawl Raffle. Connie McMahon won the 3-piece Baby Layette. Bobby Flana-gan won the hooded baby blanket and Bob Clark won the afghan. We raised $462.00 for the ministry supplies.
Thanks to Carol Nigl, Linda Meissner, Fannie Di Paolo, Pat O’Brien, and Co-lette Petrie for creating these unique items. We are happy to re-ceive donations of money or supplies for this ministry. Last year we gave away at least 100 shawls and also scarfs and caps to the Sr. Jose Hobday Women’s Shelter and provided baptis-mal capes for the parish. The average cost of supplies for a shawl is about $20, which does not include the labor.
Thanks to all who purchased raffle tickets.

free from the nightmare of betrayal, anger and resent-ment. It allows us to take back our personal power from those who have hurt us, and pro-vides us with peace. For-giveness is central to Jesus’s Great Commandment of Love. He asks us to love our ene-mies, yet we refuse to forgive those who have hurt or abused us or even forgive ourselves for past mistakes. When we refuse to forgive we allow those who hurt us to have complete power over our feel-ings; continually hurting us forever. Join Rev.
