Santa Scarf This adorable and simple scarf is just two pockets added to a fleece width. Supply List: Red Fleece 1/2 Yard White Fleece 1/4 Yard Ivory Fleece 1/4 Yard Pink Felt Scrap White Yard 7 Yards Paper Backed Fusible Web 6” X 3” NOTE: Cut Scarf 7” X 45” (or Shorter) for school-aged children. (Change all 8” measurements to 7”) Not recommended for younger children. To make a longer scarf, stitch two lengths of red fleece (3/4 yard then needed) with a flat felled seam (Stitch with WST, trim then stitch again with RST to encase first seam. Topstitch edge down. Trim Scarf to desired length keeping that seam in the center before adding pockets. Cutting: 8” WoF* Strip (54”- 60”) Red Fleece (1/2 Yard) 8” X 14” Red Fleece 8” X 8” Square White Fleece (1/4 Yard) 8” X 3” White Fleece 8” X 8” Square Ivory Fleece (1/4 Yard) Scrap Pink Felt White Yarn 7 Yards Paper Backed Fusible Web 6” X 3” Use the templates (On Page 2) for the mustache (white fleece), the nose (pink felt) and the mouth (red fleece). Trace appliqué templates to paper backed fusible web. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for iron settings and pressing times to fuse to desired fabrics. Cut away the center of the mustache webbing before fusing for a softer look. The eyes are 1” black buttons. Assembly: 1. Hat Pocket: Make one pocket from the red fleece 8” X 14”. Fold RST the long way and stitch the short end to make the point when folded out. Make the tassel of white yarn wrapped around a paperback book, then tied about 1” down. Attach tassel at the point. Next cut 1” fringe 2” deep along pocket top. Fold and top stitch above fringe before topstitching the pocket to the scarf (red WoF,) catching the loose edge from making the point. 2. Face Pocket: Topstitch the 1" fringed beard (cut as shown at right from 8” X 8” white) to bottom of ivory 8” X 8”. Add the 3" white hat trim to the top of the ivory by laying right side of trim against the right side of ivory at top. Stitch then flip the trim up and top stitch bottom edge of trim. Next fuse face applique as shown and stitch. Add the button eyes then topstitch pocket to the other end of scarf to finish. Cute as anything! Santa Scarf This adorable and simple scarf is just two pockets

Supply List:

Red Fleece 1/2 Yard

web. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for iron settings and pressing times to fuse to

desired fabrics. Cut away the center of the mustache webbing before fusing for a

softer look.

The eyes are 1” black buttons.

Assembly:

1. Hat Pocket: Make one pocket from the red fleece 8” X 14”. Fold RST the long

way and stitch the short end to make the point when folded out. Make the tassel of
