Sany Strengthens Cooperation with South Africa
On May 26th local time, Mr. Liang Wengen, Chairman of Sany Group, and senior executives of leading Chinese
enterprises were honorably received by South African President Jacob Zuma. Housing industrialization, energy
and transportation were discussed in the meeting.

During the visit, Sany’s first precast concrete house
abroad was completed in Johannesburg. It will serve
as an affordable housing model in the region.
Sany Group also signed cooperation agreement with
South African Transnet. It will strengthen our
collaboration in local production of port and logistics
equipment.
In the future, Sany will work with South Africa on
housing industrialization, energy equipment, smart port, talent and technology communication, etc. This
would drive development of society and economy between the two sides.
Sany First Overseas Precast Concrete House
Completes Construction in South Africa
On May 27th, Sany Group held the inauguration
ceremony of its first overseas precast concrete
house in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Mr. Liang Wengen, Chairman of Sany Group, Mr. Tang
Xiuguo, President of Sany Group, Mr. Rong Yansong,
Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese
Embassy in South Africa, and representatives from
enterprises and media came to the event.
Mr. Tang said the PC house can be quickly built up
with nine exterior walls and six interior walls. The
components could be produced on the assembly line
just like an automobile. It only needs 7 days to build
a house with a sales price 10-15% lower than a
traditional one.
Meanwhile, it features high quality, energy efficiency
and less environmental impact.
Sany’s PC house has won recognition in South Africa.
A representative of South Africa National Builder
and Building Committee said that the house is
beautiful, and its structure and construction mode
meets the Committee’s requirements.
“Sany hopes that South Africans are satisfied with
the house,” Mr. Tang said. Sany Group will continue
to work with South Africa in equipment
manufacturing and new energy. We hope to make
contributions to the friendship and common
prosperity of the two nations.

Mr. Tang Xiuguo:
Build a New Sany with Internet
On May 15th, the 2016 China and Globalization Forum was held in
Beijing. Mr. Tang Xiuguo, President of Sany Group made remarks. He
said, “The innovation of construction machinery should combine
with Internet communication technology, sensor technology, big data,
and cloud computing. Internet+Industralization is the only way for
the industry to remain competitive.”
Mr. Tang further explained the concept of “New Sany”. First,
engineering equipment is still the foundation for us to grow. Second
is to build new energy sector based on the construction machinery.
Sany’s new energy has grown exponentially each year. The sales this
year is expected to reach about 10 billion RMB. And third is financial
sector.
Sany will explore how Internet and industrialization could drive the
growth of construction industrialization.

Ethiopia Welcomes Sany in Local Development
From May 24th to 27th, Mr. Xiang Wenbo, President of Sany Heavy Industry and delegations of Hunan province
made a visit to Ethiopia. They met with the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Hailemariam Desalegn, and other
government officials.
On May 25th, the delegation visited the Adama II Wind Farm — Ethiopia's largest wind power project. It is
also the largest overseas purchase of Chinese wind turbines. Altogether 102 sets of Sany wind turbines are
used for the project. The installed capacity of 153 MW enables the wind farm to meet 20% of power demand
in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa. On May 24th, the project was accepted and handed over to Ethiopian
Electric Power Corporation. It means that Sany’s wind power technology is well recognized in North African
market.
Mr. Xiang Wenbo pointed out that Sany
would take Ethiopia to be the wind power
base in Africa. Meanwhile, Sany would
actively promote housing industrialization
here to provide affordable houses to local
people.
Sany Expands Business in
Emerging Africa
As Africa’s economy grows and the Belt and Road
Initiative advances, Sany will embrace bigger
development on the continent.
Product localization is essential to Sany’s
internationalization. “All Sany machines have been
adapted to meet the local market demand,” said Mr.
Xiao Jiang, GM of South Africa BU. “For instance,
truck cranes and reach stackers sold to South Africa
all need to pass loading tests here.”

Local dealers also support Sany’s rapid growth in South Africa. At present, Sany has 13 dealers in the region
and has built a complete sales channel. By working with the dealers, Sany has been involved in construction of
landmark projects and built its brand in the local market.
One example is KUSILE power plant project, which would be the world’s largest coal-fired power plant upon
completion. Around 40 cranes are used in the construction, including 630t and 750t equipment. Sany hoisting
machinery has established its reputation across Africa.
In addition, the 2010 South Africa World Cup stadiums, Luanda port construction in Angola and many other
key projects in Southern Africa have witnessed the reliable performance of Sany equipment.
Sany has actively taken its social responsibility in this region. In the last month of each quarter, staff from
South Africa BU visit children in welfare centers. Sany also plans to establish a technical training center
together with South African Department of Labour to help local people find jobs.
“Chairman Liang Wengen keeps reminding us that we need to be grateful and give back to the society. And
Sany has been doing it all the time,” Mr. Xiao Jiang said. “This is also what all Sany people believe in.”
Customer Meet in Karnataka, India
On May 27th, Sany India held a customer meet with its dealer Saranya Infra in the Mandya district of
Karnataka. Mr. Venu, dealer principal and Chethan Kumar, Karnataka Area Sales Manager started the event by
greeting customers in local language.
The meet introduced Sany’s footsteps in India, its current & future plans and customers worldwide. It also
discussed maintenance hours of Cummins, Isuzu & Mitsubishi engines and their advantages. Customers were
informed about the service and parts support from the nearest branch office of the dealer. (Harkamal Singh)

Sany Dealer in Sudan Heavy Machinery Exhibition
On May 24th, Sudan’s largest heavy machinery exhibition was held in its capital Khartoum. Golden Arrow,
Sany’s dealer went to the exhibition as a diamond-level sponsor.
During the 3-day exhibition, the dealer actively promoted Sany products via local mainstream media and
advertisement. This has increased brand influence and
customer trust in Sudan. Sany star product- SY215 - was
on display, attracting numerous customers. Many people
were interested in it and signed intention orders. With
the dealer’s efficient service and influence, Sany has
achieved enormous progress in Sudan.(Guo Jian)
Sany Excavators in European Market
Since Bauma Exhibition, Sany has been introducing
its excavators in highly competitive European
market. It shows our confidence and a result of 10
years’ preparation.
Medium excavator SY215 is attracting attention at
all local exhibitions. At TKD trade show in the Netherlands last month,
Sany brand and its top-level performance were recognized by
customers.
Sany mini excavator SY16C has also met customers’ demand. It is of
high quality and designed specifically for European market. Among
this size excavators, it is the only model with a load-sensing
hydraulic system. All the elements make SY16C one of the top
products in the market.
Meanwhile, Sany Europe GmbH is providing special financing
package to German customers. They will also be supported by the
closest dealers in the region.

The company had intended to purchase a SR250R. But after
contacting a local dealer on the O2O platform, it realized
that the SR250R stopped manufacturing in 2011. A
SR280RC was then recommended to them based on their
demand.
The SR280 is more efficient than other similar machines in
China. Its cushioning ability is 4.3 times higher with an
enhanced shock absorber. The lifetime of its motor and
reduction gear is also improved by 3 times. In addition, the
low temperature starter guarantees its smooth operation on
freezing days in Russia.
The Russian company said that they would purchase more
of them. Both the client and Russian dealer expressed that
O2O was very convenient. With online to offline model, Sany

Dealers in Russia
In May, Russia BU sold several rotary drilling rigs to a local
company. For this order, Sany’s overseas O2O platform played
an important part in helping the customer compare, select
products, and understand Sany brand.
On May 24th, a grand brand activity was held in Kunshan, Jiangsu province. It celebrated the inauguration and
handover of Sany’s 100,000th excavator. It means that Sany has sold 100,000 excavators around the world. At
the event, Sany Heavy Machinery also launched a new generation excavator and started the nationwide service
campaign this year.

With in-house innovation, Sany has made sustained efforts to
update its excavators. It has also adjusted the overall product
planning and shifted to sophisticated heavy-duty mining
market.
With a customer-centric mindset, Sany Heavy Machinery
again started the annual equipment inspection. This activity
has been held for 7 years in a row. This year over 10,000
excavators and 1,000 rotary drilling rigs would be checked
across China. Meanwhile, 1,000 machines would be inspected
abroad.
For the first time, this event was live webcast. Around 30,000
people worldwide participated in the ceremony online.
Mr. Yu Hongfu, Chairman of Sany Heavy Machinery, Mr. Fu
Weizhong, GM of Sany Heavy Machinery, senior officials of
China’s construction machinery associations, dealers and
customers nationwide went to the ceremony.
Mr. Chen Jiayuan, GM of large excavator company unveiled
the SY485H mining excavator, and handed over the key to
the customer. This is the 100,000th that Sany Heavy
Machinery rolls off. This year SY485H also won Golden
Finger Award, the highest award of the industry.
In overseas market, Sany sold 2,000 excavators last year,
with sales volume over 2 billion RMB. By the end of 2015,
the field population abroad exceeded 10,000 units. The
export sales have ranked No.1 for four years. Mr. Yu Hongfu
said that the global sales of Sany excavators have reached 100,000 units. Both its sales and market share have
achieved impressive growth.
The latest excavators were also launched on the same day. It includes 26 excavators (1.6t-85t), 9 rotary drilling
rigs and 1 loader. After 3 years’ efforts, the optimized machines reduce fuel consumption by 5% than the last
generation model. All the products have passed the most rigorous tests, including over 1,000 tests for
performance and parts and 30,000 hours durability trials. Their reliability and service life have been
improved.
