Agro-K has been working with sap

analysis since 2016 – during the last 30

months I have analyzed over 200 sap

samples in Florida, most of which have

been with citrus.

Today’s topics:

• A well-balanced citrus grove

• Sap vs Tissue – tomato example

• Long term grove sap analysis

• A recent comparison with Zn & Mn

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGLooks great on paper, but what about the grove?

A well-balanced grove is the ultimate

goal. Citrus trees must have a stocked

warehouse (soil), the proper equipment

(leaf tissue), and sufficient inventory

(sap) to maintain nutritional balance.

The Results Support the Sap Report:

• Solid flushes, large leaves

• Great color

• Nice fruit set & retention

2021 Sap Managed Block: Applications of Zn and Mn

Two Valencia blocks – grower standard and Sap managed

• Before and after sap analysis (January & March)

• 1 quart of Zn phosphite per acre

• 1 quart of Mn phosphite per acre

• Focus – Zn, Mn, K and Ca

Note: Optimum ranges are modified based on research and data
