Customers can choose between different solutions in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud suite:

• SAP S/4HANA Professional Services Cloud is a standardized and preconfigured software- as-a-service solution that delivers end-to-end project management based on best practices.

• SAP S/4HANA Finance Cloud enables customers to start their digital core journey in the public cloud with a simple, easy-to-use, modern finance solution. It includes select procurement and order management capabilities that help customers expand with other SAP S/4HANA Cloud solutions.

• SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management Cloud, which includes all innovations of SAP S/4HANA Professional Services Cloud and SAP S/4HANA Finance Cloud, helps businesses execute through state-of-the-art solutions across the entire enterprise with confidence gained through instant access to detailed, real-time information.

Highlights in this release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud enable customers to:

• Bring more flexibility and innovation to subsid-iaries that have their own enterprise resource planning (ERP) requirements by deploying the solution to support subsidiaries’ requirements with unmatched proximity to the data and process semantics of the headquarters’ SAP® solutions

• Take the complexity out of intercompany sales order processing (domestic and international) with predefined business processes

• Manage sales rebate agreements and settle-ments with higher automation and increased transparency and flexibility along the entire contract lifecycle

• Increase visibility into customer consignment stock while reducing cost and time

• Digitalize and automate invoice processes for external staff, which reduces costs and risks while enhancing accuracy with integration for SAP® Fieldglass® solutions

Different integration levels also include predelivered application programming interfaces to automate business processes across systems, with the ultimate goal to support end-to-end scenarios with predelivered integration.

TWO-TIER ERP WITH SAP S/4HANA CLOUDReduce complexity in IT landscapes by deploying SAP S/4HANA Cloud to support subsidiary requirements with any of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud solutions connected closely to a headquar-ters’ ERP solution (see Figure 1). In this case, the unmatched proximity to the data and process semantics of the headquarters’ SAP solutions removes a lot of the complexity that can arise with different ERP products that have to be

The latest innovation reduces cost and implementation time by providing predelivered integration to enable transfer to financial systems for postings, export of cost objects, posting confirmations, import of expense reports (see Figure 2), and cash advances for posting.

Streamline end-to-end project billing processes, with financial integration of accrued expenses removing the need for separate expense billing.

SAP S/4HANA PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CLOUD The latest release of SAP S/4HANA Professional Services Cloud continues the pattern of innova-tion across lines of business to help customers efficiently manage their end-to-end professional services automation processes. The highlighted innovations will help customers monitor project value directly in real time. Detailed financial figures on projects and event-based revenue recognition deliver all required information to the core finance processes to support business decisions for our target customers.

Improve tracking and decision making in projects by providing project revenue planning on a detailed level with more revenue analysis and comparison possibilities.

Speed up the invoicing process by providing notifications about missing timesheets to project members.

Automate the import of supplier invoices for further invoice processing and an improved end-to-end process with integration of Open Text software for supplier invoices.

Make payments faster thanks to integration with Concur solutions (valid also for SAP S/4HANA Finance Cloud and SAP S/4HANA Enterprise

SAP S/4HANA ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT CLOUDOur customers can increase transparency, reduce cost, and improve quality through differ-ent processes throughout the enterprise with SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management Cloud.

Increase the productivity of accounts payable clerks with digitalized invoice processing for external staff by electronically sending documents from SAP Fieldglass solutions to SAP S/4HANA Cloud (see Figure 4). Digitalized invoice processing allows for timely and auto-mated payment, which reduces the cost and risks of outstanding payments. Digitalized

SAP S/4HANA FINANCE CLOUDWith the latest innovations across finance and order-to-cash processes, customers can take advantage of machine learning innovations, enhanced best practices with intercompany processes, and improved efficiency in invoice management (supplier invoices and processing of invoices for external staff).

Help accountants reduce the effort to add cross-company journal entries and allocate intercompany costs with the new functionality for intercompany processes for cost allocation in the general ledger.

Enable easier handling of intercompany sales order processing (domestic and international) for trading goods, including intercompany billing.

Increase efficiency through simplified supplier invoices and automatic invoice creation with the integration of the SAP Invoice Management application by OpenText.

Speed up the cash management process with machine learning technology. Automate the process of clearing incoming bank payments with corresponding receivables by using machine learning functionality that proposes matching prediction results based on historical data (see Figure 3).

master data transfer for accounting block enables accurate, consistent, and compliant booking of time and cost for external labor.

Improve data collection on customer requests for products and services during sales inquiries. Increase efficiency during the creation of sales quotations or sales orders based on inquiry. Additionally, functionality provides greater transparency with the possibility to determine reasons for a sales inquiry rejection.

Save time and cost on inventory with the new customer consignment capabilities in sales. Customers can now use the consignment stock to generate product exposure (especially new or unknown products) for their customers. By tracking inventory through the process, including returns, consigners can capture accurate inventory costs.

Achieve enhanced transparency and faster processing across the entire contract lifecycle with automation in sales rebate processing and customer rebates settlement (see Figure 5). With this innovation, customers can now create and settle different types of sales rebate agree-ments flexibly and, additionally, implement sales rebate processing for cash processes, such as sell from stock.

Achieve high traceability with batch management incorporated throughout the entire logistics process, from procurement to sales. This innovation helps customers manage batches with full traceability from supplier receipt through distribution, identify differences in usage and monitoring of materials planning in sales and distribution as well as production, and trace defects to initiate follow-up actions.

Help ensure customer satisfaction with the ability to analyze sales orders confirmations. Companies can now increase future sales performance and customer satisfaction by analyzing back-order trends and demand fulfillment (see Figure 6). Capabilities for sales order fulfillment enable companies to resolve unconfirmed quantities as well as delivery and credit blocks.

Increase customer satisfaction during the sales process by streamlining quality management with built-in quality inspection activities in outbound delivery processes. Deliver the highest-quality goods to customers with the ability to plan inspections, record results (see Figure 7), and reject material or block goods not fulfilling predefined quality requirements.

With integrated quality management activities during stock handling, customers can detect nonconformities and perform necessary follow-up actions as soon as possible to avoid inappropriate use (see Figure 8).

Improve the flexibility and visibility of manufac-turing and supply chain processes through manufacturing with Kanban supply into production. Reduce work in progress, manufac-turing supply chain costs, inventory, and assets through the new Kanban functionality for manufacturing.

Take timely action with appropriately focused efforts, with the ability to facilitate the monitoring of collection processing and the workload of the collection specialists with the new collections worklist (see Figure 9). Supervise the progress of collection specialists on a daily basis, manage their workloads, and redirect their efforts as required.

Enable real-time reporting with event-based revenue recognition in which the costs and revenues associated with project-based transactions are recognized as they occur (see Figure 10). This capability eliminates the need to run periodic batch jobs for revenue recognition, because recognition and adjustment postings are being generated simultaneously with the transactions and the revenue recognition pro-cess is fully integrated with the general ledger.

Provide higher transparency to key users to help them make decisions based on facts (see Figure 11). Enable key users to create and manage their own reports with the new report design modeler (see Figure 12). Based on the analytical list page smart template, the report design modeler allows key users to define and manage reports and to use these reports across all business applications.

Increase the efficiency of key users with a view browser (see Figure 13) that gives users the ability to create an application from an analytical query and publish it as a tile to the core data services catalog.
