Editor’s Note I am thrilled to introduce Island News to our friendly island, Coquina Key.
As a Coquina Key resident and your neighborhood Realtor, I feel that it is
important for members of our community to be kept abreast of the latest
in island news.
My husband, Matt Morrow, and I purchased our home on Coquina Key
during the market lows of 2012. At the time we had no idea what a
hidden gem Coquina Key is. Since moving into our home we have grown
to love the island, its friendly atmosphere, and the beautiful waterfront
surroundings. Shortly after moving to the island I became involved with
the neighborhood association, was appointed as President, and worked
hard to encourage city involvement in maintaining and improving our
island and Coquina Key Park.
My work with the neighborhood association provided me with many
opportunities to meet island residents and build friendships with other
neighbors as passionate as I am about our beautiful island. I funneled my
dedication and passion for Coquina Key into real estate. As your local
island Realtor, I take pride in the expertise and opportunities for
community growth that I provide to buyers and sellers on Coquina Key.
I hope that this publication provides you with useful information and
entertainment.
Coquina Key Sees New Construction
For the first time in years we are seeing new construction on Coquina Key. Two single family homes are in progress and are expected to be completed in 2016. Along Coquina Key Drive Southeast, a three story waterfront home is being constructed on the canal with a boat dock and lift. Once complete, the home will have four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and about 3,200 square feet of living space. Closer to the north entrance of our island, a single family, single story home is being constructed on the corner of Pompano Drive Southeast and 38th Avenue Southeast.
