Lorin Wiens received $1125 for his internship at Prairie Winds Church in Moose Jaw. Brad Schroeder received $200 for MB Mission’s Global Servants program in Thailand. Lisa Braun received $200 to participate in Equip 2017 CCMBC Study Conference in Abbotsford, BC. Here is more of Lisa’s story: “I have been attending Canadian Study Conference for a number of years, and greatly value the time to learn and connect across our Canadian MB family. This year I had rich conversations with people about spiritual direction, adult learning, community vibrancy, & care for people in crisis, to name a few topics. In the year to come, I plan to share certain presentations with my local people - the Personnel team at church, my youth girls small group, and other people in my circles of influence. This is easy to do because of the recording of large and small sessions at the conference, available online at Global Mission Media. It is a huge blessing to receive funds to cover some costs of the travel to Abbotsford. Thanks to the DLT for the support! I encourage attendance at the next provincial gathering at Hope Fellowship in March 2018 & Canadian gathering at Forest Grove in July 2018. It is good to gather and listen together.” For more information and to apply for funding for a discipleship and leadership development initiative, please visit https://skmb.ca/ resources/investing-in-disciples/. Inspiration Saskatchewan: What is it?Inspiring SKMB Churches and Camps to Mission

Inspiration Saskatchewan is a resource providing SKMB churches and camps with speakers willing to share their story of raising up healthy disciples who live, love, and serve like Jesus. Using biblically-based messages and their personal experience of calling the church to live and share the Gospel, Inspiration Saskatchewan speakers seek to encourage their listeners to catch a f resh v is ion for the Great Commiss ion of Jesus.Inspiration Saskatchewan speakers include Bruce Enns (Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatoon), Blair Allen (The Compass, Regina) and Willard Hasmatali (Riverhurst Community Church). Click here or go to skmb.ca for more details.“We need to recapture the mission of the church...[The] church is suffering from severe mission amnesia. It is forgotten why it exists...The appropriate response to the emerging world is a rebooting of the mission, a radical obedience to an ancient command.” - Reggie McNeal (author of The Present Future)
