Arbutus Properties’ Morris model home has proven so popular, the builder’s autumn release of homes sold out quickly.

Now Arbutus has announced a winter release of eight additional Morris homes in The Meadows, its master-planned community within Rosewood.

Two of those properties are al-ready pre-sold, says Jody Minaka-kis, sales manager with Arbutus Properties.

Arbutus has dressed its newest grouping of homes in the latest in-terior finishes, on display at The Morris show home, located at 696 Meadows Blvd.

As indicated by its signature front veranda, The Morris is a 1,392 square-foot Craftsman-

style home. Minakakis says the term Craftsman not only applies to the home’s architectural style, it is indicative of the high quality of construction and attention to detail that Arbutus adheres to.

Contributing to the popularity of The Morris is its inviting open concept floor plan.

“We have large triple pane win-dows on each end of the home which flood the area with natural light throughout the day,” says Minakakis.

Priced at $349,900 (including GST), The Morris o�ers many fea-tures and amenities that would be considered costly upgrades in oth-er homes at this price level. “With The Morris, what you see is what you get,” says Minakakis.

“This Morris comes move-in ready, with Frigidaire stainless steel appliances, a large quartz is-land and quartz counters through-out the home, Kohler plumbing fixtures, contemporary chrome lighting and west-end interior doors. The only add-ons are the fireplace and the washer and drier.”

The Morris features a contem-porary west-coast style decor, available in two di�erent colour palettes. “One is a Mocha palette with light wood cabinetry. Our show home features the Latte co-lour scheme, which features white cabinetry,” says Minakakis. Torlys wide-plank laminate wood floor unites the space and adds warmth.

The upper level of the two-storey home features a large master bed-room, with a walk-in closet and ensuite bath. Two additional bed-rooms are adjacent to a second full bathroom.

Arbutus has designed the home with the potential for a legal suite in the basement. “There is a sepa-rate side entrance and plumbing for the suite is roughed in. Down the road, the homeowners can choose to build a revenue-gener-ating suite or develop that living space for their own family,” says Minakakis. “With the new mort-gage rules that are now in place,

having a revenue-generating base-ment suite can bring many poten-tial buyers back up to that required income plateau.”

New homeowners will also not have to worry about the expense of landscaping their front yards. “The front yards are completely landscaped. Every front yard gets a tree, with abundant tree plant-ings along the boulevards. We want The Meadows to not only look good now, but to continue to beautify with age and fulfil the vision that we have for this master-planned community,” says Minakakis.

Designed for friendly, front porch living, The Meadows community has multi-generational appeal. Minakakis says, “The Meadows is attracting all demographics from young families to move-up buyers to empty nesters. The opening of the new Costco in the Meadows Marketplace is also drawing a lot of attention to the neighbourhood.”
