Welcome to Celestial! This celebration of our community is areflection of the countless hours of hard work by our parentvolunteers led by Auction Chairs Whitney Brown, Carolyn Gilbert, and Suzanne O’Callaghan. My heartfelt thanks go to these threewomen and all the people—including parents, faculty, staff, donors, and vendors—who have helped to make this event possible.

The Celestial Auction Committee would like to thank the Board of Trustees for their unwavering support of

this event. Their extraordinary generosity in underwriting a significant portion of this celebration reflects

their resounding endorsement and appreciation of our beloved teachers, and is yet another illustration of

their commitment and dedication to our school. Thanks to the Board's leadership and contributions, it is our

sincere hope that our Rippowam Cisqua teachers will feel the tremendous gratitude of each and every parent

in our community, and know that they are the true honorees of our Celestial Celebration.

CELESTIAL UNDERWRITERS 2014We would like to extend a special thanks to our general underwriters who helped make Celestial sparkle with

their generous donations.

Page 9: SATURDAY, APRIL 26 2014€¦ · reflection of the countless hours of hard work by our parent volunteers led by Auction Chairs Whitney Brown, Carolyn Gilbert, and Suzanne O’Callaghan

Alexander is the co-founder of Paddle8, the online auction house backed by art-world insiders Damien Hirst

and Jay Jopling, and the investors behind Uber, Buzzfeed, Warby Parker, and Paperless Post, among others.

Paddle8 is transforming the way that people collect, creating a marketplace for collectors to buy and sell

extraordinary works of art and design through online auctions. The site presents two types of sales: Paddle8's

curated sales of works under $100,000, and benefit auctions in partnership with non-profit organizations—all

of which increase collectors' access to coveted works of art and design, sold with the lowest possible fees.

Prior to co-founding Paddle8 with Aditya Julka, Alexander was chief auctioneer and worldwide head of

marketing at Phillips and one of the youngest executives in the history of LVMH. As the leading auctioneer of

his generation, Alexander has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in bids to support causes such as The

Guggenheim and AmfAR and selling works like Warhol's "Quadruple Marilyn" for $38MM. He was educated at

Eton College.

Page 10: SATURDAY, APRIL 26 2014€¦ · reflection of the countless hours of hard work by our parent volunteers led by Auction Chairs Whitney Brown, Carolyn Gilbert, and Suzanne O’Callaghan

• All sales are final. All items have been donated to

Rippowam Cisqua School and are sold by the School, not

the donor. Please do NOT request refunds or exchanges

from the donor.

• Syndicating is encouraged and accepted on all bids. One

party must be responsible for payment in full. Please note

that the organizer of a syndicate is financially responsible

for total payment for the item and is also responsible for

collection of payment from members of the syndicate.

The School will provide necessary documentation so all

who are involved will be given the appropriate credit.

• The fair market value of each item or service has been

established by the School. All items are sold in “as is” and

“with all faults” condition.

• Payment for live Auction items can be made with cash,

check or credit card the night of or in the week following

the Auction. Credit cards will be pre-registered the night

of the Auction.

• Payment for all other Auction items can be made by

credit card, which will be pre-registered the night of the

Auction. Payment can also be made by cash, check, or

credit card during the week following the Auction.

• Upon payment you will be given a receipt along with

copies of contracts. Please present these to claim your

purchase(s). Removal of all items is required by 2:00 pm

Friday, May 3. If delivery is required, it will be the buyer's

responsibility.

• Unless otherwise specified, all items and services must be

used within one year from April 26, 2014. The dates and

times of mutual convenience for the donor and buyer

should be arranged between those parties, not through

Rippowam Cisqua School, within 60 days of the Auction.

Gift certificates from restaurants are for food only,

excluding taxes, gratuity and alcoholic beverages, unless

stated otherwise.

• Absentee bids in writing will be accepted on all items no

later than Friday, April 25, 2014 at 12:00 noon. In the event

of a dispute, the committee shall have sole and final

discretion to determine the winning bidder. All sales are

final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on items,

except where specified. Please read all specification and

limitations carefully.

CONDITIONS OF SALEThese conditions apply to both live and silent auctions, unless otherwise specified.

Page 11: SATURDAY, APRIL 26 2014€¦ · reflection of the countless hours of hard work by our parent volunteers led by Auction Chairs Whitney Brown, Carolyn Gilbert, and Suzanne O’Callaghan

• Bid anytime from anywhere in the party during the Silent Auction.

• See the entire Auction catalog and current bid status for all items.

• Utilize the Buy Now button for items available for instant purchase.

• Personalize your item “watch” list.

• Receive outbid alerts, re-bid and set a maximum bid.

• Instantly view items you have won at close of Silent Auction.

• In the event of a dispute, the Auction Committee and the BidPal advisors shall have the sole and final discretion in

determining the winning bidder.

• All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds. Please read specifications and limitations carefully.

• Please return your BidPal handheld device to a BidPal team member or at the check-out table prior to departure.

You do not need the handheld device to check out.

SILENT AUCTION RULES

• The property offered in this live auction sale will be

offered and sold by Rippowam Cisqua School. Any ques-

tions should be directed to RCS and not to Alexander

Gilkes who serves merely as auctioneer for RCS in con-

ducting the Auction sale.

• A live auction bid is entered by raising your paddle and

being recognized by the auctioneer.

• The auctioneer has the right to determine increments on

each item. Any item not sold at a satisfactory price may

be withdrawn at the option of the auctioneer.

• The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall

be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between

bidders, the auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion

to determine the successful bidder.

• The title to each article passes to the highest bidder on

the fall of the auctioneer’s hammer. The purchaser

assumes full risk and responsibility.

• Please return the paddles at the end of the evening.

Thank you!

AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPYYour family will welcome this new addition with open arms, because, let's face it,

there are few things on earth that are cuter than a purebred, Golden Retriever puppy.

In fact, we can't think of any. This American Kennel Club-certified female pup, to be

delivered by the stork before the auction, will boast all the good breeding of a

proper lady or gentleman, and come with proof of lineage from a highly reputable

breeder, who will protect the little one's health and ensure proper socialization occurs

before the puppy joins your household. Golden Retrievers are, of course, the ultimate

family dogs, fabulous and patient with children, loyal to their masters, and highly

trainable. Plus, they're wicked cuddly. Picking out a name, yet?

PRIVATE DINNER WITH RICHARD GERE ANDCHEF MICHAEL WHITE AT THE BEDFORD POSTThere are delicious changes afoot at the Bedford Post, and you and nine

friends are invited to experience them firsthand at a dinner table with

Richard Gere, the Post's co-owner, and Michael White, the new Chef and

overseer of all things food-related at our beloved Relais and Chateaux

local. Lest you need any reminding of who your dinner partners are,

please allow us to clarify: one of your dinner partners is an RCS dad who

has starred in “American Gigolo,” “An Officer and a Gentleman,” “Pretty Woman,” and “Chicago,” and, though we know

he's too modest to ever admit it, has helped to define our collective concept of Sexy American Leading Man. Um, so

there's that. Your other dinner partner is a multiple Michelin and New York Times-starred chef, who's won the James

Beard award, who has opened Marea, Osteria Morini, and Ai Fiori (among others), three of the most celebrated

restaurants in Manhattan, and whose soulful, refined interpretations of Italian cuisine has had food critics doing

cartwheels for years. All in all, this is a priceless opportunity to feel part of the newly calibrated direction in dining at

the Bedford Post, and to enjoy the company of two charming men who happen to be at the top of their fields, but whose

unassuming demeanors and desire to create a wonderful experience for all who walk through the Post's doors make

them the dream hosts for this cozy, fun dinner party that just happens to be worthy of a spread in Bon Appetit.

“BOYS’ NIGHT IN” ON THE UPPER CAMPUSTurn the Upper Campus of RCS into the ultimate “man cave”

for your boys when they join RCS faculty members Mr. Barrett,

Mr. Ragonesi, Mr. Willson, Mr. Florio and Mr. Hart for an

evening of classic guy time and fun! The teachers (God

bless ‘em...) will host up to twenty boys for a night of basket-

ball, soccer and other rowdy games in the gym. The theatre

will be magically transformed into a sick (in a good way!)

gaming station, where our young competitors will duke it out

on a giant video screen. Students will then dine on pizza, play

LOWER CAMPUS VIP PARKING SPACE (2014-15)AND LOWER CAMPUS VIP PARKING SPACE (2015-16)You’re running a few minutes late for morning drop-off. Your coffee cup is teetering

precariously in the cup holder. In the back of your car, your children clutch the

backpacks and sports equipment they need to lug into school. Heck, maybe there is

even a baby in the back, who you’re used to loading from car seat into stroller while

your children look on unhelpfully in the parking lot. Take heart! The winning bidder

receives no less than a personal, ultra-convenient VIP parking space right in front ofthe Lower Campus Entrance. One of these spaces is good for the 2014-15 school year,

every day, for drop-off, pick-up, and all your school appointment needs in between. The

other space is on offer for the 2015-16 school year, with identical benefits. So breathe easy, parents. You can be

mere steps away from that front door once you’ve secured what might just be the most hotly contested real

estate in the Tri-State area since the Revolutionary War was fought. May the best man or woman win!

1954 CHEVROLET PICKUP TRUCKThey just don’t make ‘em like this anymore. In 1947, Chevrolet got the

jump on Ford, Dodge and Studebaker by producing its Advanced

Design series of pickup trucks, a radical styling change from the

prewar model trucks. The 1954 pickup was the last of this series ever

produced, and its classic lines and unique place in the history of

American automotive engineering make this rare model a collector ’s

dream. Translation: this is one sweet ride. Richard Gere purchased this

pickup while filming “Dr. T and the Women” in Texas in 2000, and its

exterior and mechanics have been restored to perfection. In fact, the motor is completely new—provided by

Chevrolet for the restoration—and was one of only two original motors that remained in the company’s

warehouse. The truck comes with its original manuals, a partial record of its provenance, and records of

restoration, and offers you a chance to take to the open road in a gorgeous relic of the American past.

5 FOUR-NIGHT DREAM TRIP TOSAN FRANCISCO AND NAPA VALLEY

You’ve been wined and dined before, but never like this. This special

opportunity for four people affords a taste of San Francisco and Napa

Valley’s finest vintages, cuisine and accommodations. You will fly firstclass on United Airlines to San Francisco and the first night of your trip

There, you’ll stay for three nights in your two studio rooms at the

a meal, and three Michelin stars are just another of the many accolades garnered by what chef Anthony Bourdain
