TCTGA President’s Message

Dear Christmas Tree Grower:

Four things I love about our annual convention are: 1) Unexpected Ideas, 2) Being with my friends and laughing, 3) Buying face-to-face from our vendors, and 4) Meeting and encouraging new growers. The 40

th Annual

convention is August 24 – 26 in Tyler and I am excited to see you there. Thank you for letting me serve as president of TCTGA this year. A highlight for me was the Capitol tree presentation delivered with two horse-drawn carriages. This was followed by a private tour of the Governor’s mansion. Our state orders real, Texas-grown trees, and that is so good! Our Association’s Spring Field Days were well attended and I am really encouraged because of so many new growers! Welcome! Thank you again to hosts Jim and Doug Hingst of Pipe Creek Farm, and Kathy and Ken Radde of Tannenbaum Farm.

I would like to also thank all who volunteered to serve and continue to serve on the board of directors and committees for this year. Your efforts and to our industry are truly appreciated. Thank you to Joe McCullough and his excellent team for keeping us moving forward as an association.

Our president-elect, Archie Abrameit, has put together a valuable convention program! Register early and book your room now and I’ll see you at the 40

th

Annual Convention of Texas Christmas Tree Growers!

Yours for Big Time Fun
