Performance Features

• Outputs up to 5425 kg/h

• Large steam space

• High water volume

• High quality saturated steam

• Standard working pressure up to 10 bar (higher pressures available on request)

• Up to 90% efficiency (net CV)

General Description

The Savile Plus range of steam boilers are available in outputs up to 5425 kg/h. The boilers have a high water volume and large steam space, which allows them to satisfy high steam demands for short periods. The large surface of evaporation and steam space ensures high quality saturated steam, which reduces the formation of water droplets.

Savile Plus boilers have a standard working pressure of up to 10 bar, but higher pressures are available on request.

They have a typical efficiency of 90% across the range, based on a net calorific value of the fuel.

The boilers are fully packaged and supplied complete with matching burner, control panel and ancillary mountings.

The internal parts of the boiler are easily accessible for cleaning and inspection, by opening the hinged access door at the front of the boiler. All Savile Plus boilers are supplied with a set of cleaning tools.

Savile Plus boilers should be installed in accordance with relevant codes of practice and current building regulations. Water treatment is recommended for all steel shell and tube boilers and a water treatment specialist should be consulted for advice on this matter.

Savile Plus - Steam Boiler

The Savile Plus is a range of three pass wet back reverse flame steel shell and tube steam boilers. The boilers are available in sizes ranging from 380 - 5425 kg/h ( from and at 100ºC feed water at atmospheric pressure) and are available for firing on natural gas, LPG and oil with a choice of burner manufacturers. The boilers come fully packaged for ease of installation and only require connection to electricity, water, steam and blow down lines.

Savile Plus is a range of high pressure three pass wet back reverse flame horizontal shell and tube steam boilers, which come complete with a removable stainless steel turbulator within each firetube. The boilers have a generously sized shell and furnace, to ensure boiler outputs are easily achieved.

The boilers are insulated with a thick high density mineral wool blanket, enclosed in an acrylic covered sheet steel casing. They also have an insulated hinged front door, which is available for left or right hand opening. However this needs to be specified at the time of order.

All Savile Plus steam boilers are designed and manufactured, inspected and tested as required by the relevant provisions of the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC and also in accordance with the EC type - examination certificate (module B). The boilers are CE certified and are manufactured and constructed to EN 12953.

Savile Plus steam boilers are subject to X-ray and ultrasonic testing and they are hydraulically pressure tested in the factory.

Combustion & Controls

Savile Plus steam boilers are suitable for firing on either gas, oil or dual fuel. A burner can be supplied and matched to the boiler to give either high/low or fully modulating operation, which ensures optimum operating efficiency to suit specific requirements. The burner is bolted to the boiler front door and wired to the control panel.

The boiler control panel supplied satisfies all mandatory

requirements and is generally located on the side of the boiler, but in some cases depending upon the burner specification and size, it may be floor mounted adjacent to the boiler. Boiler control panels can be supplied to meet customer requirements and generally include alarms, relays, switches and feed pump motor starters.

The panel is pre-wired and connected to all level controls,

pressure switches, feed water pumps and other ancillary items located on the boiler.

Volt free kits can also be supplied, details available on request.

The control panel requires a 400v 3 phase electricity supply and is supplied with a suitable fused isolator. Typical boiler control panel

strainer, feed check and non return valve

• Pressure gauge• Probe type on/off water

level controls• Boiler control panel• Top inspection opening &

hand hole inspection covers

The fittings are all mounted on the boiler and are pre-wired and piped accordingly in the factory. The water feed pump is fitted to the boiler support brackets and can be located on either the left or right side of the boiler. However this needs to be specified at the time of order.

Clearances

All Savile Plus boilers should be installed and positioned so that there is adequate access to the flue and pipework connections by the installer.Consideration should also be given to the position and projection of the burner with the boiler door in the open position. The boiler should also be installed so that there

is at least the length of the boiler in front of the door for cleaning purposes.

Boiler base

Savile Plus boilers should be located on a surface capable of supporting the fully flooded weight of the boiler and burner and it should be smooth, level and constructed from a non flammable material.

Delivery

Delivery to site can be arranged.

Commissioning

Commissioning of the boiler/burner can be arranged.
